This game looks like it's opening up nicely.

It has already been said, but I agree. Young seems like a bigger, stronger version of Randall Cunningham, if some of you remember him.

just talking with my sister, about Young vs. Leinert. And I can't for the life of me think that Leinert will get picked higher than Young, especially after seeing in this game how Young has the game-changing ability all by himself where Leinert needs weapons around him. Young is a more immediate positive impact on a franchise, resulting in more wins/excitement than a traditional pocket passer such as Leinert.

And I could see the Saints taking Young and jettisoning Brooks. Why the hell not. Brooks doesn't have a HUGE cap hit does he?

I think Leinert is a much better passer than Young, and he's more mobile than people give him credit for.

Shouldn't that have been PI on USC? He hit the guy while the pass was in the air.

Only listening on the radio, but it seems that Lendale White is doing himself no harm at all NFL draft-wise.

Texas receivers are doing a great job of getting open, but Vince has been so accurate at hitting them as they get open.

Finally, a good defensive stand again.

Miss the FG!

Whew, I posted my above rooting post before reading this

I think Vince goes #1 only if a QB desperate team trades up there. I still think most teams take Reggie #1.

The funny thing is, he's been doing this for quite awhile, but his performance against USC is going to make him an instant top pick, when the fact is, he's doing this against a crappy defense. I don't care if this is the national championship game. I'll give him extra credit for stepping up in a big game, but put him up against a real defense, and he wouldn't look like Michael Vick on roller skates nearly every play.

I'm not sure how their skills will transfer to the pros, but this just confirms that Brown is a better QB than Leinhart. Put Leinhart at FSU and he would likely be considered middle of the pack.
