Probably should have covered who would be around on the weekend or if we should have suspended for the weekend.

Indeed I did. I knew it was my mother's birthday. So needless to say, I was a little more disposed to spend time with her.

Give me a second and I will pick something.

If the next pick isn't made by Noon CST, let's keep going. Try to make a pick every 2 hours.

If you aren't going to be on for awhile, please send a list.

Nice pick Radii. That's certainly a famous moment and I hadn't thought about influential speeches really.

Thanks. I hadn't really thought about it either. I was looking for some other categories(I didn't really want to use potluck this early) and kept coming up empty and ran across some speeches and decided to take a look in that direction.

If my calculations are right, only one person needs November. Until I get the master list of picks done by person, not sure who that is but, feel free to post your last round pick.

I was going to say this was a steal, but it appears that, despite being in the 7th round, it is only the third military pick. If you're going to go America-Centric, I don't think you can underestimate the importance of the American Civil War. The prior two picks were both World War II, although there are picks related to other wars (Ferdinand, for instance) that have been slipped into other categories. So, now, instead of a steal, it may be early. It's very hard to say at this point. I'm sure blackout months and dates have really started to play a role.

Yes, I had the three Civil War events in mind and all three were in April. As I said, any one of them would have been as good as the other.

I had four other dates I wanted before this one in other categories, but blackout dates killed them all. Figured I'd better grab this one while it was still available.

I think you'd missed a couple military picks. I already picked Confederate forces firing on Fort Sumter.

I've updated the individual lists by drafter.

Please verify your lists that I didn't slot something wrong or just get something flat out wrong.

A few notes:

Radii : You have 2 March picks. Please redo the last March pick.

Larry : You should be the only person needing November. You can do this as your last pick at anytime since no one else can take November.

I have the only April pick remaining.

People needing months

Jan - 6
Feb - 4
Mar - 5
April - 1
May - 6
June - 3
July - 6
Aug - 4
Sep - 5
Oct - 2
Dec - 5

Don't wanna really be a bitch this late in the draft, but that's...kinda grey area, if you ask me. Troy and the stories surrounding it aren't exactly what I'd call historical fact.

Front page

All events must be historical proven to have occured on the date you provide or the consensus must be that they occured on said date.

But, if people have a problem I'll repick. This is for fun
