Bigby gets pumped up after the hit and then realizes they converted for the first down.

I love players who celebrate a play that was in no way a good result for the team... it goes both ways, defensive and offensive players all do it, mostly defense though.

Way to hold onto the ball, Berrian. That was fired in there and he took a good hit to the head.

TOUCHDOWN HARVIN! FUCK YEAH! Three packers lay on the ground during the play and Harvin could have walked in.

Hell of a play from Harvin there. Not a great day to be a cheesehead.

That was a great collision by the three Packer defenders.

Awwwwe. Couple more yards on this drive and they'll have surpassed their total yardage in the first half.

Vikings go into this damn prevent deep coverage mode and their defense blows. I wish theyd just keep pressing the whole damn game.

Damn. That's how momentum works. A fumble and then a breaking a tackle from a sack and getting a first down.

I won't be surprised if this is a four play drive for a TD....

Why advertise a Favre Cam if you're just going to black it out for people who get the game on their local Fox affiliate? Or is my wife the only one actually trying to view the Favre Cam?

Because if not, then they're arbitrarily applying the rule and choosing to wait until the player's knee is down.

I mean, look - I'm not blaming that call for the Vikings scoring 7 points. The Packers gave the Vikings a fresh set of downs with that stupid headbutt by #97 after the 3rd down stop. They've got only themselves to blame for the fact that the end result of the drive was a touchdown.

I just think 'plane of the end zone' is a stupid rule in the first place - and you can disagree with me all you want on that - and it's fucking retarded that you can combine it with a guy who can't go anywhere, and nearly anywhere else on the field that play gets whistled dead, but because he might be able to stretch his arm out a few feet, it's allowed to continue so that maybe he can wave the football over the end zone for a second and a half.

Move the ball back ten yards and say it's 4th and inches instead of 4th and goal - can he wave the ball over the plane of the first down line and get the call if he gets stuffed, or is that just a subjective spot-of-the-ball thing for the official? Honest question. Are the rules consistent that way?

Sack,

Yeah, it happens all the time in a variety of ways. It happens with QB sneaks at the 50 yard line. If a WR catches the ball at the sticks and gets pushed back a yard, his progress is counted.

What you are missing here is that the plane of the goal isn't in the standard field of play. it's a very simple rule. You have possession of the ball and you cross the goal line? Ball is dead, a TD is awarded. The reverse is also true. Let's say you take a helicoptor his on the one yard line. Every part of your body is in the end zone except your outstretched hand with the ball in them on the one yard line. It's NOT a TD. The ball never crossed, ball is placed on the one.

I love quality wiki editing, from:

Larry Johnson (American football) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On October 10, 2008, Johnson was arrested for the fourth time and charged with one count of non-aggravated assault for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman's face at a Kansas City nightclub on Oct. 11. Wow. He was going deep. I wonder if the WR was open on second down.

Packers get the ball back, have all the mo.

Rodgers CANNOT take a sack in this next series.

I remain impressed with how much the Vikings are doing this year, despite being handicapped by Childress' presence on the sidelines.

Nobody believed me last week when I said Childress is a top 5 worst coach in the league... I still stand by those words.

I am very upset that there are contract extension talks; which of course is not unexpected, just upsetting.

Vikings back on their heels now. they need to throw a blitz in here. The four man rush is putting pressure on Rodgers and it's nice, but they need a big play here. I'd do a quick, inside blitz here. Forget the outside garbage.

Looked like a clothsline there, I think a personal foul was in order there.

Why in the hell did the Packers run there? Rodgers is on fire, the Vikings are on their heels and you stick it in the center with the fullback?

That's a seriously stupid play call.

Have there ever been two 200 yard rushers in the same game before? I'm guessing no.

Delhomme got knocked out of the game, at least temporarily. He got sacked hard by two Cardinals and was real slow to get up. He may have just had the wind knocked out of him, but the backup came in for the rest of the drive.

Why kick it off to him? Just pop it up to the thirty, force someone to take a fair catch and call it good. Really stupid. See if they get away with that one.

Anyone not paying attention to TEN/JAX (Which I assume is everyone), MJD needs 21 yards to put both he and Chris Johnson at 200 yards rushing. Amazing stuff.

Packers are trying to self implode here.

First you kick to Harvin, then you grab a face mask on a one yard gain.

It is amazing especially with the lack of carries MJD has gotten this game. In another game Deangelo is getting to that level as well.

While Moss and Harvin have both had big impacts as rookie's I don't think Harvin has come close to Moss as far as impact. They are very different receivers and both bring completely different aspects to the offense.

Harvin is still a bit behind Moss but can still attain that status if he continues to improve and impress.

Russell's numbers are impressive today. 12 of 18, 88 yards, 0 TD and 1 INT. Not too shabby for the kid.

As a WR Id completely agree. Harvin isnt there. As a playmaker he is.
