I usually base it on just how the cars run at the certain tracks. After running races for 3 seasons I've begun to figure out who runs well where. And sometimes I just pick people for the heck of it.

Mustafa Henderson - Mustafa has had a disapointing season thus far. He's collected 4 poles, 1 win, 4 Top 5's and 7 Top 10's, but 5 DNF's have dropped him to 12th place in the points. He'll turn it around today.


- DAVID POOLE - CHARLOTTE OBSERVER

Nick Phillips - The points leader has collected 14 Top Ten's in 20 races this season. He has been amazingly consistent and even if he finds trouble during the race he is able to salvage a good finish out of it. He'll win today.

Ren Snow - Who would have expected Ren Snow to be in 17th in the points right now? Everyone thought Ren would be contending for a championship at this point. But he'll get a win today.

Shane Kormelink - Kormelink has had a very good season so far and will pick up his first win of the season today.

It may have taken him 21 races, but Ren Snow finally found victory lane. Ren led 144 laps en route to the win over Telle Snow, Travis Elkin, Chris Snow and Mustafa Henderson. Points leader Nick Phillips was involved in an accident and finished in 13th, Chris Snow gained 36 points on Phillips.

The main story today was the points race between Nick Phillips and Chris Snow. Nick started the day in 2nd, Chris started 4th. They ran next to each other for a while in the early going but once pit stops started Nick began to fall back. Chris remained steady all day and ran between 3rd and 7th. Nick's pit crew didn't help him at all and he ran between 10th and 17th most of the day. In the end Chris would come home 5th and Nick would finish 12th setting up a very interesting final race at Homestead.

Ren Snow and Travis Elkin dominated the race. One of these two drivers led all but 21 laps of the race. At the end of the day it was
Ren who found himself in victory lane.

All day eyes were glued to Nick Phillips and Chris Snow as they battled for the championship. Both started in the 4th row and ran together most of the day. After the first pit stop Snow passed Phillips and stayed in front of him the rest of the day. During green flag pit stops Snow stayed out an extra lap so he could pick up 5 bonus points. Those points would be key in the end. As the laps wound down Snow ran 3rd and Nick ran in 5th. Nick couldn't get around Parris Duffus in the final laps finished 2 spots back of Snow. Snow took home the championship by 1 point.
