YABR. (Yet Another Brady Record). Previous record playoff completion rate record was 88% by Phil Simms.

I never thought that a post game victory song could be considered taunting. Guess what, they played a 15 second clip from a certain ROCK BAND song to celebrate the win

"Meet the New Boss.. Same as the Old Boss" (The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again")

Well, Brady does have a pretty damn good cast of receivers there. I mean when your 6 and 7 receivers are Chad Jackson and Kelley washington you are in pretty good shape. Brady is great but the reason he has a 93% completion rate and not say 65% is due to that line and receivers.

I really like Garrard, he's going to be a good one if he stays healthy but damn, Brady keeps doing better. Simply an awesome QB.

And last year when he was 12-4, 62% and 3500 yds with absolutely NO receivers?

wrong.

He still has to make the reads & make the throws.

I'll assume you were weren't one of the posters who called the Pats "classless" for not giving Deion Branch 80 billion dollars because they didn't have any receivers.

Sure he does. I am not saying he would suck without these new players, but there is fucking way he would of thrown for 50 tds 4600 yards and went 16-0 without Moss,Welker, and Stallworth.

To beat the Patriots you need to:

A) Play 60 Minutes of attacking football. You take your foot off the gas, the Pats will zoom right by you.

B) You need to jam the pats at the LoS AND get pressure anyway you can.

C)You need to do long drives and keep the Pats offense off the field

D) Early on the Pats will show if they'll give you the run.. or the pass. Pick the one that works and keep it going.

The Jags did half of A, none of B, Half of C, and Half of D.

You also need to injure Brady. That would help.

And the two incompletions were Welker dropping one right in his hands, and Watson not coming up with a catch that was slightly high but hit him in the hands too.

It's both a regular season and playoff game record.

Jags players say anyone could have gone 26-28 with all those dump offs . I love the dying words of opponents.

Not sure I get your point? He threw 8 passes longer than 6-8 yards and went 6 of 8 on them.

So they're right, it IS easy to go 26 of 28 when 70% of your throws could be completed
by a semi-well trained guinea pig.

Brady had a great day, no doubt about it, but don't try and diss the Jags comments when they're accurate.

I didn't believe you, I had to look that one up and found:

"It was a dump-down game," Jaguars rookie safety Reggie Nelson sniffed. "Anybody can go 26-of-28 in a dump-down game."

Nobody ever has, and Brady did it mostly without Randy Moss, who had only one catch against double- and triple-coverage"

Wow. Nelson takes being a poor loser to new levels. How do the Jags not get the "unlikeable" team tag - if a Pats player had said this after a loss there'd be a new thread started about it.

Their game plan was take away Moss, ease up on the pass rush, give Brady short stuff, and wait for him to screw up. It was a horrible game plan.

It's never happened in NFL history - though nobody's put a well-trained guinea pig in the game at QB.

So since the calls clearly went against the Pats on the whole in this once, the line against the Pats for this game will be "Brady's passes weren't difficult enough".

The reason I was rooting for Jacksonville that game was because compared to the Colts, Pats, etc the Jags had the least amount of idiotic comments or things that just made me want to root against them. Those comments after the game just prove that I guess all teams have idiots that a poor losers. The Jaguars obviously wern't as good as the Pats last night, and their plan the entire game was to take away the big play from the Pats. To do that, they allowed the Pats to run all over them and pass underneathe unopposed all game. The reason the Pats did it was because the Jags let them do it.

If the Jaguars had won the game, everyone would have been saying "What a wonderful defensive strategy to take away New England's big play.." but unfortunately for them, it didn't work. No reason to get bitter that the Pats didn't force a square peg into a round hole. THey just went with what they were given and stomped you in a different way.

I hate poor losers.

It reminds me of when one of the Boston writers (Borges?), criticized Brady in the Pats first Super Bowl run, strongly arguing they should trade him and go forward with Bledsoe again. His biggest argument against Brady, "All he can do is throw sideways". That was the knock on Brady for years, and of course he's proved again and again since then that he can throw the deep ball with anyone as well.

I predict Phillip Rivers blows up at a teammate mid 3rd quarter.

I predict LaDanian Tomlinson is shown sitting on the bench upset and pouting shortly before or after Rivers blows up.

Was that DSRL commercial serious?

And I don't mean "is that league serious"...I mean, did all the Mannings really willingly sign up to be in that commercial, or did Nabisco kidnap the 3rd brother and that was the ransom?

I hope the Colts win because it will be a far better match up next week, but I really hope for a close game. With the exception of the Jax-Pitt game and a stretch of the skins-hawnk they have all been pretty crappy.

Christ you people look for anything. Obviously it's easier and he wouldn't have done it if there were longer throws. But if anyone could do it how come no one ever has? This is the only game in the history of the NFL that featured shorter passes?

People at this board make me want to eat a bullet sometimes. At least those in question are consistent though, I know the content based on the names.

I agree, I want the Colts to win just so the game next week will be great to watch. I'm almost as burnt out about the Colts and all of the Peyton Manning hype as I am about the Pats, but next week's game would be great to watch if its Indy vs NE.

Well to be honest, I don't think Brady could do anything but throw sideways back then . What he had going for him then is what he still has, his mind. But physically he's come a LONG way.

I thought the same thing as Jeebs. Didn't know it had anything to do with the clock. I thought the NFL didn't want guys spiking the ball in that manner.
