Cliff Lee is really good. I want to see what he can do in a full season in the NL next year.

This more than made up for the Eagles' loss to Temple earlier.

So is it normal for a TV channel to stop showing extra innings of an ALCS game in order to show the regularly-scheduled program?? At 7:00, the baseball game just stopped and House started. What the hell!

Jeff Mathis might become my new favorite Angel, for a defensive replacement, he's had a hell of an ALCS.

Seriously, what a call by Scoscia that at first glance might have been a bit of a head scratcher. Pull Napoli for Izturis, Izturis gets RBI, Mathis (defensive replacement for Napoli) throws out what would have been the winning run 1 AB later, hits 2 doubles including the game winner. Almost makes up for some pretty crappy use of pitchers in the games so far.

BTW, my next door neighboor knocked on the door to make sure I was ok.

Apparently screaming "GO, GO!" at the top of my lungs at midnight on the East Coast causes concern.

I had to put pants on to answer the door. It was worth it.

Yep. I never felt like they were out of it. I was just staying up waiting for them to make something happen in the late innings and they did.

That RBI streak for Howard is impressive. Always nice to be a on a list with Gehrig.

Gotta love reporters when they have no idea what to ask.

"Jimmy, how did it feel when you saw the ball hit the gap knowing you were going to win the game?"

How the hell do you think it felt?

Because Robertson is a fastball pitcher and Howie loves him some fastball!

Or, Girardi is an idiot.

Heh. Reminds me of what I screamed at Sid Bream "Slide motherfucker SLIDE"

edit: Probably more notable because I had never used that particular word in front of my dad before.

Damn, harsh call on the Yankees there. It looked like Swisher waited until the ball was in Hunter's glove before running home. Oh well, go Angels.
