Yup....and that would cost him a significant chunk of bonus money.

Young 13/15 passing with 100+ yards, and 60 more rushing. The guy is just one heck of a college QB.

USC is the best second half team in the nation. We will need to come out with the same intensity.

95' Nebraska may have had 30+ against this team before the half. Not even close to the best team ever. ESPN just wasted another 2 weeks of programming bits by Kirk and May.

UT has already been written off a couple of times this game, so I'd say yes.

Well, we did get LeAnn Rimes singing the national anthem, plus the B-1Bs from Dyess. They get Marcus Allen. I say we are still ahead...

They commented on that at the beginning - where's Earl Campbell when you need him.

Unfortunately, not well. He can barely walk anymore. He has to ride a golf cart to get around these days.

From SGS:

Reggie Bush has been good, but not great. Lendale White has been okay. Matt Leinart was not having a good game before getting hit hard and you have to wonder how wobbly he is.

Vince Young has played well. Texas’ defense has played very well, sacking Leinart twice and intercepting him once. They have, however, lost two defensive starters to cramps. It is a humid night in the seventies, a bit warm for Los Angeles for January.

Certainly this game is not over by any stretch, but at times tonight USC seems to be USC’s opposition and not Texas. Texas needs thirty more minutes like they just played and they will have deserved the national championship.

I want a Texas win, so Vince Young can go pro, and the jets can take him at #4.

As Huckleberry said back in the Holiday Bowl, what's up with this poor, outgunned Big XII team shutting down this sophistimicated Pac-10 offense?

I think that Texas is about to take a Horn sized dump on USCs "best team ever" title hopes. And the part about USC being the best second half team in the nation, they better pray that someone shows up with some steam.
