I'm around. I just have nothing to say. Amazing how far down it can go after that first OU drive. Honestly, I'm just in shock. Perhaps I should go ahead and change my signature.

Seriously, though, the game's not over yet, but it's pretty much over, and OU laid an egg. USC has looked outstanding and combined with repeated mistakes by OU has turned this into one of the biggest and most painful beatings I've taken in a long time. Congrats to USC, though, and should the game continue like this, there's no doubt they deserve the prize.

Did someone forget to tell Ashley that grunge is dead or is this just a Kurt Cobain tribute?

I wish she would just go back to lip synching. That was just painful. I am going back to watching Jaws 2 on Spike TV.

I feel bad for the bands of USC and Oklahoma. They should be the halftime show. They work just as hard, and are a hell lot more talented.

No doubt. The SC band backing up Fleetwood Mac is 10 times better than this crap. They could have gone up there and played Tusk for 10 minutes and been better.

Was Ashlee really singing? It still sounded like it "lagged" when she would hit the big chorous and high notes. She keep touching her ear to hear whatever it was.

Boise State too? Why not Cal or Louisville or Texas? Even with a playoffs, you will likely not get a matchup between two undefeated teams - which sounds like your criteria. Sheesh, I'm sitting here totally at a lost for words at where you are coming from? You blame BCS? Like they knew it was going to be like this?? Personally, I would prefer UCS play Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Nothing wrong with that. Let a poll at the end of the year determine who's the best team.

Actually i think Today Ou proved why the ncaa needs to figure out a playoff system

however, after listening and talking to a buddy of mine in the K-state athletic department.. it'll never happen.. The University presidents are raking in too much cash from these bowl games to want to change.

In a playoff system, the ncaa would be taking a cut of the profits, thusly no possible chance ever of a playoff

in most cases they are wearing an ear piece that is playing the music, so they do not lose their place. lipsinking or not they will have one....

Stayed tuned, The Orange Bowl has become TRL.

A U-2 Music Video premier. I don't care if you like U-2, but man, what the hell. I want to watch sports, not TRL.

A really ballsy annuncer (not a BCS paid lackey) would have asked "So which was worse, Jason White in the first half or that halftime show?"

Simpson (and the entire halftime show) getting booed was one of my favorite college football moments this year.

The ear thing is just her monitor...no conspiracy. It was pretty amusing watching her start losing her screamed-out voice towards the end and try to hang on enough to finish the song.

And there was nothing remotely grunge about that performance.

Once again, I bring up the grunge thing because the cheerleaders dressed in black was a clear, blatant rip-off of Nirvana.

What was even better was watching the dancers in the front laughing at the booing at the end of the show.

Gotta agree there. Something about seeing a tight belly occassionally show up under those sweaters.
