For page six...

Endless data.
Inside pitcher.
Famously of San Francisco.
"Best in Show" champion. (Weinke?)
Twin city seminary school.
'63 charger.
Part of a rhyming Christmas. (Jolley?)

Brainstorming here. Could inside pitcher be a couple of synonyms? Like -urn, or -jug, or something like that?

Just to eliminate a couple of things, Bert Emanuel is no longer in the NFL, and I'm 99% sure that "Rocket" Ismail is out of the league too. It looks like the list is made up entirely of active NFL players.

Ryan Pickett is apparently not right.

Cody Pickett has also been suggested with no indication it is right either.

If Doug Jolley is incorrect, how about a Holly, Holley, or Hawley?

"Inside pitcher" is much simpler than you're making it out to be. Yes, I'm referring to a pitcher who throws inside, but not a specific individual who does or did so.

Then maybe Robert Bean?
Or someone named Hunter...

Maybe a specific team that plays in a domed stadium?

A pitcher that throws inside might be called a headhunter.

After we figure those two out, we need to figure out why Quik put the last names in all caps when he confirmed those answers above...

So now we're left with inside pitcher. Yet QS didn't give any guidance on "hunter".

With all the Hunters, seems like we might be barking up the wrong tree.

Wait, let me guess QS:

Right forest, wrong tree.

No, but maybe this is the right approach. Rather than search for the noun describing an inside pitcher, focus on a verb that's a slang for the act of pitching inside. Maybe that will get you there.

I got nothing.

Two of these refer to an act that is pretty different than just throwing inside... if I wanted to refer to a pitcher who hits batters, or to that particular act, I could have done so.

This is more about just pitching inside.

We're not throwing at the hitter here.

We're throwing the ball to the inside part of the widened strike zone.

I've heard it called "busting him inside" -- not really a measure of intimidation, just putting the ball in a tough spot to be hit, especially by a power hitter who usually wants to get the big barrel of the bat on the ball. Different thing. (My fault that it wasn't made completely clear by the two-word clue)

I've also heard it referred with another slang term, frequently. And I've heard that verb turned into a noun to describe the pitcher who does it.

Maybe it's time for a new clue altogether?

That's just how I do it. I capitalize correct answers... it's a throwback from my days as a quiz show question-writer. I capitalize the last name, since that's the part the answerer has to respond with to get credit, usually.

My guess is that is QS's suble way of telling us that the last names are the starting point for part 2 of the puzzle.

Or not.

And I'm more than a little bit peeved that nobody made a smilie or a "that's fucking great" comment about Doug-fucking-Jolley.

I think I'm getting a little tired.
