This Dallas team could be really really bad. Think the only thing that will save them from a 2 win season could be that the rest of the division might not be up to much

Surprised at the piling on RG3 from game..I went in expecting it to be a disaster and while obviously not pretty I thought in the 2nd half he started stepping up in the pocket decently finally and showing some accuracy. He looked much better than I expected.

Defense looked sharp, Morris played well...just stupid mistakes(multiple fumbles in the red zone), the usual Skins special teams, etc.

His stats are a little misleading as to how well he did, they were obviously playing extremely conservatively but he did better than I expected.

Cowboys scheduled for 3 Sunday night games. Guessing NBC is thanking the league for the ability to flex the last two. The first one is the Saints. I'd be willing to put some money down on Brees breaking the single game passing yardage record.

Listening on Serius. Cowboys radio crew quotes:

It cannot get any worse
How would you approach the second half? Do we have to come out? Yes, you do. Oh, let me think for a minute
Remember that time we fell behind the giants or redskins and had a chance?
Really, fans, it will not get any worse. We may not win a lot of games, but it wont get worse than yhis

But isn't that pretty much how he played last year? Play poorly in the 1st half until they fall behind then play a little bit better in the 2nd half.

Romo looks like he has no zip on the ball. That could be problematic for the Cowboys.

How long is the leash on Josh McCown? He has looked brutal so far.

As long as Derek Anderson doesn't play much more this year, the Panthers should be able to get a second or third-round pick from the Bucs for him next year.

I'm wondering if Chip Kelly was inspired by Oregon's 28-3 domination in the 2nd half against Michigan State, with the Eagles 34-0 2nd half.

Had the Eagles been clicking on all cylinders, that final score is in the 50+ range.

Two things

So I'm a bit worried with my decision in my fantasy league to grab Romo as my QB1.

And the NFL should be feeling similarly about this crew of officials in Dallas.

Carolina hangs on to win, I will take 1-0 under Derek Anderson under any circumstance really. Hopefully Cam is ok the rest of the year.

Well after badmouthing Derek Anderson earlier, I have to give him some credit and a pat on the back-he kept himself together for almost the entire game and somehow found people to throw to in that tangled mess of receivers they have in Carolina. Greg Olson was his best friend.

Having said that, Anderson almost lost the game for the Panthers with that pass right to a TB defender that he dropped. Probably would have been run back for a TD if he had caught it. So I guess I can take a Derek Anderson starting a game once every three years, but I still would not want to rely on him for more than that.

And shame on Tampa for not taking advantage of Newton not starting. Maybe they can redeem themselves at home next week against another team without their starting QB, St. Louis.

I distinctly remember getting mad at the unrealism of Madden 15 on my PS4 when I saw a graphic in my franchise mode saying EJ Manuel was 8-10 against my bears. I distinctly getting even more mad seeing a graphic during the actual game today he was 9-10 at one point. Stupid disappointing Bears.

My Facebook is littered with people bitching about the officiating in the 49er-Cowboy game. Was it really that bad? I was on the road, didn't get to watch the game.

I saw the photo about Cowboys stadium being full of Niners fan. Isn't that unusual for Dallas? I wonder what Jones thought of that if he wasn't too senile to notice.

Wasn't he trying to hurdle him but then the punter didn't go for the tackle?

Heck no. The Giants and Eagles always take over the stadium, especially the Giants. It's what happens when the owner tries to play GM. It's been too many years and the fans are sick of it.

I guess that might have been his intent. But the very short highlight I saw made it look fairly predatory. I didn't see any attempt to miss the punter's face, rather it looked like he wanted to 'stick the landing'.

He's right though - they didn't really look in-sync offensively at all, even when they were scoring in the first half.

Didn't look...scary at all.

I don't understand this at all. He just kicked the ball with 15 yards to spare. You back up 5 yards and you are worried about giving Manning 5 extra yards? Ummmm, you need points to win this game sir. I personally would have went for it on 4th and 1. I certainly would have continued the kick after watching the first attempt.

I'm going to be interested to see how teams deal with Monte Ball in the third and fourth quarter this year. Denver is running a lot more side to side this year than they did last year with Moreno. The front 7 gets to run side to side, chase Manning, cover the short zones, etc. . . then in the fourth when the altitude gets to you and you MUST get a stop, will you be able to get it?

I can see some huge runs up the gut happening.
