It doesn't really matter. Anything but the hands or the feet touches te ground and you are down.

Down or not, it was a pretty cool play.

Jacksonville is going to be in the same position as Seattle if they don't get any pressure on the QB. Turnovers don't help either.

Pats have had a very good running game this year for a team that depends on the pass.

Great game. I am impressed by Garrard every time I see him play.

There's no question the Pats D can be worn down. But nobody's been able to stop the offense enough to exploit that.

Yeah, but they have been stopped at times this year. The JAX defense is built to have the chance to stop them - clearly they haven't yet though.

I don't know what the rule is for that penealty if it matters only that he tackled the guy by the neck or that it was intentional. In any case it was good not calling it being the nature of the game (playoffs). The refs apprear to be more or less letting the teams play the game on the field and not "help" teams keep their drives alive that often has been the case with "certain" teams this year

The Horse Collar is a lot more complicated than just being a tackle around the neck/shoulder pads - it is a relatively specfiic motion. I missed that tackle because I was flipping to a CAA basketball game, but it has to be a pretty specific motion.

The Fakeroonie!

The thing is, the Jags are trying to give the Pats short passes down field all the time, and hope for a failed third down pass, and the Pats just haven't done that.. sooner or later the Jags will have to start blitzing, and they could get burned deep if/when it happens

I actually agree. It's just fun to pretend I'm a Broncos or Colts fan and constantly whine about the refs.

Yup. Clearly they overestimated what their DLine could do when gameplanning and at some point you have to change up your strategy when it's not working.

It was a great play. Well drawn up and well executed. The Jags do need to start bringing more than 3 or 4 men! Brady is just going to keep picking them apart otherwise.

The Jags going to the Super Bowl would be a disaster - do you realize how much we'd have to hear about Crohn's disease? Gross.

Though I guess I'd prefer that to 12,000 hours of Sean Taylor exploitation if the Redskins had made it.

Pretty easy to click when the defense is changing NOTHING... this is absurd.

HUGE 3rd down play here.

Pats TD!

(and that's like the deepest throw I've seen Brady throw )
