ou is pretty good about running down backside tomfoolery. the weakness of the ou d is right up the gut. thats where i would hit again.

3rd and 2 when you know it's 4 down territory, I somewhat question the vanilla up-the-gut play... but, I jus tdon't know this team well enough and haven't watched the game enough to know how sucessful that play is for them normally.

In general though, I use 3rd down as my chance to pass...

However, there is also the psychological impact on BSU of implying that you think you can't win in OT and are putting all of your eggs in one basket. Tremendous psychological pressure in that situation makes it unlike other 2 point attempts and I'm willing to bet lowers the percentage somewhat. I wonder what the stats are on gamewinning 2 point attempts in regulation, although I suspect the sample size is fairly small.

The announcer has this DEAD ON. This game, and Boise State this year is the REASON why we need a playoff. Boise State deserves to have a legit shot at a national championship. They may lose, but they should have the shot.
