Hmm... I probably won't be around too much from 2-8(ish), so I'll leave a list with you sachmo sometime in the next hour (after this pick is made).

Couldn't wait, sent you the list .

I'll let you know when I'm online and can make picks myself (if my turn hasn't come up yet).

Sleeping?! How dare you!

And timmy.. Farve? Do you think he'll last much beyond this year? He's already made some rumblings about retiring.

Since we're only keeping 3, Farve's retirement shouldn't affect him too much.

Oh yeah, wanted to ask about the keeper stuff. Are we just keeping 3, or do we lose draft picks if we keep players? How is this exactly going to work? I know we voted on it or something, but I don't remember exactly what happened with that.

Here are the keeper rules (in the constitution also)

You can keep three players, one from each position of QB, RB, and WR OR TE.
You are not required to keep three players, but that is the max, and one per skill position.
Keeping less than three players does not affect your draft position, however you will be able to draft in a supplemental draft at the end of the draft.

Ok, so keeping players doesn't affect next year's draft in anyway (such as if you keep 3 players you lose your first 3 picks next year or keep 2 and lose only your first 2 type of deal). The Keeping is seperate from the draft entirely.

Well that's good to know... and I only asked after 4 rounds went by .

Yes...unless everyone makes their picks within minutes of each other, in which case you'll have roughly four hours.

The clock stops sometime late in the evening to resume in the morning, so don't worry if you're not on from 2am to 6am to make your pick.

I almost took Porter over Favre, but I thought he might still be around for my next pick. I think he'll have a breakout year, esp. if the Raiders end up being any good at all.

Would you have taken Dunn here?

Actually, the selection of Dunn is what triggered me to take Staley. I figured if Dunn was going, then we were to the proper tier of running backs that I could use this pick and still get pretty good value. I could have taken a chance that Duce would be there on the way back, but decided to just pull the trigger now and live with it.

I've always been 'eh' on Dunn. He's always had the "other guy" in his backfield to suck up several of his touchdowns. Of course, Staley could have that problem as well, but I really don't think he will. I think the Steelers will give Bettis spot duty until he gets into fifth place all-time, but Staley will get the rock over 300 times this year, if he stays healthy. Coin flip says...Pick him now.

I like the Dunn pickup. He almost saved my brother's season last year at running back when he picked him off waivers before he got injured.

Since I have a draft tonight, the next pick must be made by 6. Hopefully, that won't affect anyone, but it can't be helped. I will be out of contact until around 10.
