Actually, I was -really- glad Hitler fell to me, because my own moral philosophy is such that it's really hard for me to think of people as good or evil. Hitler is one of the few exceptions in that regard.

Yeah, was just tossing crap against the wall. I didn't really figure I would go that far. I was actually thinking that you could just copy my draft board every morning in your own post and update it as we go along.

My 2nd pick is also my 2nd versatile person. Gandi could fit into 2 eras and possibly 3 categories. His accomplishments speak for themselves, not to mention his influence on others that will appear in this draft.

What's interesting is I have the impression there's some controversy surrounding Ghandi. For most people though, I agree, there's definitely a perception of him as a good historical person.

I don't disagree with that, obviously there's some controversy surrounding him...but he's generally perceived as good, so he fit there. I figured I'd use him there or cultural icon.

Dola - that was his 3rd category, and yeah, that would have changed by era. There's too many other possibilities for that era, so I wanted to go with his strengths in the other.

She doubled Russia's size during her reign and was a great patron of the arts. Truly one of the great rulers in history, as well as one of the most powerful women in history.

I lump the Classical era into Ancient since many describe pre-Middle Age as the "Ancient" age (i.e. Ancient Greeks, Ancient Romans, etc.).

yeah but based on teh rules we can't do that =) its causing me no end of difficulty =) but I think I have a good one for that. I'm hoping it lasts for a couple more rounds though.

Yeah, but with Jesus, Caesar, Alexander, St Nick and arguably, Mohammad, going early, I call those the ancients and tend to be what many were thinking of in the 1st round.
