Hey I posted this in the suggestions thread on there, but I'll post here as well. Is there any way you could put the full roster, maybe by position, at the bottom of the lineup page? I would be nice to have a full view in order to make your choices.

I'm hesitant to do that, for one reason. The lineup page is by FAR the most processor-intense page, and despite the fact that throwing the rosters on there is not exactly a resource hog, I'm not sure I wanna put anything else that increases the load on that page. edit: So I'll just do it a different way! Added a little javascript thing on the lineup page to pop up players.
edit: And in case anyone didn't notice, you can view an opponent's full schedule via a link on their team overview page. Last edited by Coffee Warlord : 10-17-2007 at 10:21 PM. |

It looks like I have my work cut out for me. My team currently has the lowest total skills and only one scholarship available for recruiting. It should be interesting.

Nah, training is the only thing that you REALLY need to worry about today.
Just make sure you've got lineups ready by sunday, and recruits pimped by monday. |

I noticed that some players already have scholarship offers? Would anyone care to share the reasoning behind that? Should we all be offering a scholarship to the players we REALLY want?

I'm fairly certain it's pretty much impossible to get a week 1 commit. It's I think theoretically possible after that, though bloody unlikely.
That said, I put a couple offers out for people I really want, and save my last one after the first week gauge feedback. |

Okay. I take that back. It's mathmatically possible to get a week 1 letter of intent. It's statistically very very very very unlikely.
I just ran several tests of the commit code. Exactly 1 of the 200ish players being recruited signed in 30 run-throughs on week 1. You have to match both the player's desires perfectly, you have to have a perfect roll of the dice, and you have to hope that recruit is one of the ones more apt to sign in the first place. Week 6-7ish is roughly when the signings will really pick up steam, and I lower the difficulty at Week 12. Last edited by Coffee Warlord : 10-18-2007 at 10:50 AM. |

Will there eventually be some way to balance our rosters aside from just not using all of our available scholarships for a season?
For instance I current have 6 graduating seniors, half my team. I'd like to work it out so I have 2-4 players in every class. Is my only option to save a couple of scholarships for next year's recruits? Will we eventually be able to cut or redshirt players? |

I have three seniors. Can you imagine how crappy my team will be next year? Two seniors are by far the best players on my team. And I'm already one of the ten worst teams in the league.

You will get a little blurb that illustrates their deepest feelings and innermost secrets.
As for the issue about it being kind of static / year as far as how many scholarships you can offer, I want to do redshirting down the road. I don't wanna implement something like that till things have been running smoothly for a few seasons, however. |

Mr. Coffee Warlord, something is going on with my scheduling. For some reason, I have a Non Conference game scheduled with the Dean Houston Violaters. The only problem is that he is also in my Conference. Also, how many non conference games can you schedule because I apparently have a game open and I don't see an accept button. Help me!

You can accept Non Conference games with anyone who challenges you (I didn't put any conference restrictions, despite the name - they don't count toward league records, however).
The accept button only appears over games you can accept. Either you or the other person has a conflict, or they're the ones who have to accept. |

And if you mean you need to schedule your last game, start clicking on other non-bot teams and, in their detail area, you'll have the option to offer a game.
Bots will not accept challenges. Non-Con games matter for 3 reasons, basically. 1) Bragging rights with teams you wouldn't ordinarily play. 2) Tie breakers and poll points for national rankings / tourney bids. 3) Extra playing time for your players, thus a little extra training. Mr. Coffee Warlord, someone already sent me a challenge and I don't see an accept button even though we are both open. And is there any way to decline challenges as well.

Okay, looks like someone accepted my issued challenge instead. However I still have the issue of having a non-conference game with a conference opponent (the dastardly Dean Houstoun Violaters).

That you get to live with this season. I'll put a fix for that in when I can, but I'd rather not get into the habit of mucking with games already scheduled, as it's a pain to remove. |

Okay I will live with it. No biggie. Hopefully I can roast him 3 times this season.
