Maybe I should require a list from everyone each day. There are big problems with that, but I'm running out of options here.

I'm in favor of taking more time being spent at the beginning rounds and then moving to a list. At this point there is no need to start going to a list.

Yeah, I wouldn't panic... yet. We still have a week and a half. That should be good. I will be sure to continue to provide a list each night before I go to bed.

Ok, based on what people have said thus far, what about this for an idea: Keep the current 6hr time limit, but if the following rounds have not been completed by the end of the day they're paired with, we move to a 2hr window until we're caught up.

Sept 1st - 5th
Sept. 2nd - 6th
Sept. 3rd - 7th
Sept. 4th - 8th
Sept. 5th - 9th, 10th
Sept. 6th - 11th, 12th
Sept. 7th - 13th, 14th
Sept. 8th - 15th, 16th

I'm almost positive that is has. I'm going to pick for TheLionKing (per his proxy list) once DVH's selection is made.

Starting at 8am tomorrow, the time for each pick will be reduced from 6 hours to 4.

If you plan to be away from your computer, or somewhere without internet access for more then a few hours, please send a list to a proxy. Also, please try to be aware of where we are in the draft, so you can have a rough idea of when you may be picking. Thanks.

Very nice pick. It was either him or Jones for me. Both are good value picks in the 4th round.

Lathum gave me a proxy list of 10 players yesterday, and hasn't been online at all today. I don't know if he would want me to use it today or not... hopefully, he'll be online soon when his pick comes up.

Ok, it's 10, and no Blade. That's twice in 4 picks, so hes gone.

I've got a couple of people interested in the spot, and technically they have until 8:30 am to make the pick. We'll see what happens.

Sigh...

Sigh...

Don't lose heart. Many good fantasy football leagues will lose at least one member quickly. Hopefully, we will get a good replacement.

Well, what does everyone think? Should I draft from the Sporting News list, or draft from my list to make it competative until we can find an owner?

I think in this case it'd be better to go off your list, considering the sporting news list is not so great.

I'd recommend looking at the picks made and think about who you would pick based on those picks. That isn't exactly from your list, because you've had different picks. For example you've picked 2 WRs and Blade's team has none so far. I'd recommend then the highest ranked WR on your list.

I agree with the general consensus of going with the best player at the position his team needs.

I don't know if this is premature... but sachmo said I could take over Blade's team, and had to have a pick in my 8:30am. So, in case I am actually in, I'll make my pick:

4.10. (VH) Chris Chambers, WR, Mia

I know he has no one really to throw to him... but I still think he's the best WR on the board right now, and I need one. Although there are a couple more WR I wouldn't mind having either.

Glad to have you with us MikeVic. Let us know your team name when you get a chance too.

4.12 (CD) Koren Robinson, WR, SEA

5.1 (CD) Steve "Air" McNair, QB, TEN

Heads up for sachmo - I accidentally wrote (DC) as my team initials for my picks at 2.12 and 3.1 (almost did it again here too).

So he gets some slack.

To those who have been involved...all I can say is that I'm sorry about all of the delays. It kills the momentum when someone disappears and doesn't make arrangements to take care of their draft, and it affects everyone.

The problem is that there isn't much I can do about it. I can cajole and plead with people, but what they do is their own business.

Hmmm... looking at his posting history it seems that he doesn't really come online until the late evening (like 7-8). Perhaps we should just give him a player from the list?
