Green makes Stafford the QB he should be. As Grant said above, UGA hasn't had that kind of sick, big play, do everything WR. Now Stafford has one and he looks great.

On the Mountain Network, UNLV goes up 14-0 over Iowa State late in the 1st quarter on a 48 yard TD pass.

I know the SEC has all these sick athletes, and great defenses, but they have some of the most anemic offenses in the Nation.

Mississippi State, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, etc.

It is crazy how bad their offenses are.

Nah we mix it up well.
One season we start out like gang busters then lose 4 of 5 down the stretch. Then the next we come out stumbling and catch fire late....

Ditto.

I was interested in the UGA tonight, but I've already had to turn it off and switch to Wake/FSU due to my ears bleeding from Musberger. I only hope he's doing the PSU/Illinois game next sat. night and not the VT/Nebraska game.

It is QB play. The SEC hardly ever seem to get the great QB's, and when they do they have hard time developing them. Why? I don't know.

I wouldnt say the ACC is always so winable, but certainly has been the last few years. I think we are actually suffering from too much talent for our feable minded coordinator. He cant figure out how to get everyone in the game, so he ends up getting no one in rythm and everyone a touch or two.

Yeah, the Pac 10 is not very good. USC might be able to run the table playing their scout team. ASU, UCLA, Washington and Cal are terribly overrated. Arizona isn't very good, but they may finish in the top 3. I think the Pac-10 had almost 50 kids drafted so there's a ton of youth this year.

Very true. It is the one reason I can see UGA getting to the BCS Title Game. I don't think they will, but of any SEC team they have the best chance. Florida has the explosive offense, but they're one injury away on offense from Tebow or Harvin from being in total shit.

My opinion on the outside looking in? It is Bowden is addicted to track stars. He gets all this team speed, but has very few actual football players.

Honestly, it feels like for whatever reason almost every big time conference is down this season. The Big Ten is pretty bad this season as well as the ACC, Big East and Pac 10.

UGA has too tough a road, and Florida is starting to develop more play-makers. The Gators aren't as strong on D as they have been, but they have Charlie Strong at DC. They are going to go to more zone-blitzing tricky defenses as the season goes on, and they are going to be a very tough nut to crack.

Honestly I think it is just parody. You have a few really great teams and the rest so close that anyone can win on any given day.

Les Miles is the riverboat gambler. A big TD pass and then the onside kick that LSU recovers.

The SEC and Big XII have 9 out of the top 11 ranked teams right now, with only USC and Wisconsin breaking up the monopoly.

Arkansas and Miss St. are just plain bad this year.

Auburn and LSU could have good-great offenses by the end of the year. Auburn is having pains because they are breaking in a brand new offense, LSU because they had to start from scratch at the QB position.

A one liner & a longer vent on the Knoxville newspaper game blog pretty much sums up the Vols "effort" today vs Florida.

1) " Oh my God, this is inCROMPetent!"

and

2)I am embarrassed
I am disgusted
I am pissed OFF

This is the poorest coached, most undisciplined team I have ever had the displeasure of watchin.

That fat SOB has the gall to tell the media "this team needs to find some leaders

Your damn right we need to FIND a leader. One for the head coaching, offense coaching, defensive coaching, special teams coaching, and lets throw in an incompetent AD

I can't take credit for either post but I'd say they both sum things up very well.

That was an impressive pass by Keiland Williams. You would think hes one of those RBs that played QB in HS the way he threw that ball. (Which he isn't.)

Wake Forest's normally reliable FG kicker has choked tonight, shanking 3 FG's. However, it looks like WFU has sealed the victory with a late interception. 9-3, Wake Forest with about 2 minutes left in the game.

I know Stafford has a strong arm, but isn't it annoying that the commentators always gush over his arm on incomplete passes? I don't care what kind of a laser you have if you your recievers can't catch it. I think he might have broken Durham's hand with that pass.

He's a big-foot. They found him with that family of them up in the north-Georgia mountains. They try to keep him shaved down, but the hair grows back pretty fast.

No letdown so far for UNLV this week after upsetting Arizona State. The Rebels lead Iowa State 21-0 at halftime.

My son & I were just sitting here trying to figure out where "Taste of the Town" will go next weekend.

-- The Varsity seems inappropriate (since I believe he did it on a visit to Atlanta already)
-- The Grit might be a candidate but seems a bit out of place too (vegetarian restaurant made famous by R.E.M. but might be awkward since the founder committed suicide less than a year ago.
-- Allan's, a longtime institution has a new location and seems like a contender
-- Blind Pig Tavern, voted best hamburger in town, might get him some forgiveness for the fried green tomato po'boy
