Not really all that embarrassed by my musical tastes but I do make sure that the headphones are securely in the jack when I'm listening to Ryan Cabrera's "True" at work.

I also admit to watching YouTube for the "New Jack" dance goodness that is the Color Me Badd "All 4 Love" video

hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFMYvMsyMVI

I'm a little more embarrassed by this nugget (but not that much)

hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyXvfZmm9bc

I'm fascinated by how they can dance without tripping all over the place...

There's nothing I'm ashamed to admit I like. I went after every song I grew up with, so even Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" is on my iPod. When it comes on, I don't change it.

Fine, be pedantic about it! It's not really so much of "embarrassed by" (that was the wording I stole from Mike & Mike in the a.m.) but it's music that if anybody else heard it come up, you'd get a few eye rolls (at a minimum).

Meanwhile, I have a LOT of the songs listed here on my iPod, perhaps I should be more "embarrassed."

Or maybe I should be embarrassed that though it's not on my iPod, I know I could sing along with Cher's Believe....

See, I'm not sure. I have two versions on mp3 - one says it's by Boyz II Men, the other Az Yet. They are almost identical, but have a few differences. They one labeled Az Yet lacks the piano that the Boyz II Men labeled track has, and the bridge isn't sung as strongly. But listening to them now, the rest of the vocals sound identical. I think this might be a studio outtake or run-through or something that has been incorrectly labeled Boyz II Men.

Anna is the famous song in Married With Children that Al cannot remember. He keeps humming Hmm, Hmm, Him. Then he thinks it is Go With Him.

The episodes ends with Al getting the record, but Kelly's bf (Matt LeBlanc) at the time breaks it by accident.

Agreed, never be ashamed of Blondie. Her music set entire new standards for punk in the 70's.

My daughter would say yes (if she had a clue there even was an older song), and you and I would say no. But hey, at least the song is bringing them some royalties.

Speaking of which...back in the early 90s, Jellyfish had a song called Baby's Coming Back (which is a huge hit for McFly in the UK right now), and on one of the bootlegs I have (I think it's on the box set as well), the lead singer talks about how they ran into Player on the road and the guys jokingly suggested that Jellyfish owed them for the inspiration for the JF song. So to pay them back, JF started each show with a brief cover of Baby Come Back so that Player would get some royalties for having their song performed.

Its more the songs that I am admitting to rather than the artists. Angel of the Morning, Dreaming, Heart of Glass, and Vacation are all pretty fluffy songs.

I have no problem admitting I like most of the rest of their music.

Chalk me up for one. While listening to one of the "hits" stations on my XM the yesterday, I came across this song "Bubbly" by someone named Colbie Caillat. It was kinda slow, soft, and yet catchy, and was surprised to find myself enjoying it. And I do not like this type of music. But it did sound very good, and I began thinking "I am officially embarrassed to admit I like this."

Came home and googled the song, trying to figure out if this was some established artist or a new woman. Still don't really know, but holy crap is she beautiful.

I think I'm slightly obsessed at this point. I also recommend checking out the video on youtube. She looks even better in it.

Is it just me or does she have a Jessica Biel/Jennifer Aniston thing going?

She was on Leno last night. I really dug her voice. I may look for more of her material. It's definitely not something I'd be embarassed to admit I like, though.
