You were right Blade, we matched up VERY well against a running team like Nebraska. For part of the game, I actually thought we were going to pull off the upset, but this team just makes too many mistakes. Nebraska won its 12th game in a row and they send us to a horrid (3-7) record. A win today would have made our season, but all is for not.
A missed FG, 10 penalties, blocked punts, etc... too many DAMN mistakes!! Thankfully, this season comes to an end next week vs Iowa State. Todd |

diaz got another INT TD...my god that kid can play! Tough loss, but i really think our S have been our MVPs so far, with stinemetz pulling in an INT as well...Rueben had a great game and Anderson did okay. We should try to scehule either very weak teams OOC next year, as we cant afford to be this bad and still continue to get better recruits...
I think Diaz could honestly go all-american...he is having a stunning season. Lets finish this with a win and get the hell to 2006...Our LBs and Secondary all return, so we should be ok next year....i just hope our line develops.

As I get into my office, I notice the message light on my phone is blinking. I usually wait until Monday to get my messages, but I'm in such a ticked off mood, I don't care today.
As I listen to the young man's voice, I crack a smile. QB Leonard Strother from Jefferson City high school in Jefferson City, Missouri has agreed to attend Missouri University next year. In 9 games Leonard has thrown for 1971 yards, 12 td's, and only 2 int's. His Rivals.com state ranking is #11 and he made the All-State team. His strength is medium passing and his weakness is very long passing. Our scout, who is rated pretty good with quarterbacks rates him a 74 out of 100. My impression is he's worse than scouted. [AtP (10) - AcP (26) - GPA: 2.49 - Ts: 932] *Although I see him worse than scouted, I like this guy and hope he's as good as he looks. He was a long shot, but since he lived close, I thought.. what the heck? We didn't need a QB, but he can redshirt if needed. Todd Last edited by MizzouRah : 01-16-2005 at 12:18 PM. |

I think we have a home and away series with Texas Christian, so next year they will play here, but I agree on scheduling some cupcakes next year.. maybe St. Louis. On a side note, Texas Christian is #25 in the nation and their only loss was to us. Diaz has been unreal, everytime he catches the ball, he's taking it to the house. Here's the Top 5 defenders in the nation: Code:

A nice way to close out the season. Down 21-7 at halftime, the team came out and played well on both sides of the ball. Jennings finished his two years with Missouri with 1909 yards and 20 touchdowns. Lester Diaz gets his 10th interception and Winfred Anderson had 10 sacks. We had a brutal schedule and I feel that the loss of QB Brandon Samuels to academic probation hurt this team right from the start of the season.

My god that was a pitiful season...Diaz finished well, and anything less then first team all-american will be a shock. Im actually wondering about him leaving early...gulp...Anderson had the season i wanted, finally playing up to his level of ability...ill post a year review after the final stats are posted, but i think a few players really shone on a pretty bad squad....Boy,just like in real life we went from Big-12 North Contenders to pretenders...ouch, that season hurt...
Did we get enough recruits, or do we still have a lot undecided...seems like we have around 5-8 right now, which with our losses doesnt seem to be enough. Heres to a great off-season of development and an easy team OOC next year(and another upset of TCU!). We need to get better, on both sides of the ball to get back to 8-3

Yep, I hope to get some final stats, end of year results, etc.. tonight sometime.
I would like to get the 2006 season started tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I'll have alot of time tonight. I'm also going to run a FOF career along side TCY just for the purpose of the drafting. I would like to see if any of our recruits make it in the NFL. I'll just use defaults with the real roster file. I missed last year, but that's not that big of a deal. Todd |

That's it for the awards gentlemen. Thanks for coming out tonight and I look foward to another year of Missouri football. I think we can build on some things we've learned this season. (clapping.....)
As Blade and Ardent get ready for their closing speeches, I turn to the Athletic Director and give that "sorry" look. He nods his head and I start to think about next year....... On to 2006!! Todd Last edited by MizzouRah : 01-17-2005 at 08:35 PM. |

Some of those kids are mentally retarded i swear...you gotta get the smart ones, even if it is a little lower quality...we cant afford these guys with low 2 point GPAs(one was below and 2.0...thats pathetic)....we should be mostly above the 3.0 range...or else our academics score will tank..

DE: Kenny Richardson: 6.5 sacks and 17 TFL....not bad....not what i expected from our captain, but he was a solid second DE(even if he was the most talented in the eye of our scout Winfred Anderson: 10 sacks and 17 TFL and 2nd team all big 12...the season i expected from Richardson, so ill take it...He led our DEs both years, so maybe he should be listed first...he goes out as our best DE to date...solid 2 year career. DT: Harvey Daehnke: 0 sacks...5 TFL...1st team all-big 12...does that compute with everyone else? he did do well in run support, so ill give him as much...he led our D-line to a solid run stopping year...he was our other captain, so i would have enjoyed at least 1 sack..im not really sure what to call his season...it just was.... Nathan Baxter: 4.5 sacks and 10 TFL...no run support to speak of, and got heavily pushed for time by #3 Carlos Logan....i didnt like his season, but he did well last year so its ok i guess...he certainly didnt carry the team this year... Carlos Logan: 3 sacks and 4 TFL....for a 3rd guy it was pretty solid, and he basically matched Baxter's run support in less time...he should do well next year, so we will see as he becomes our #1 DT next season. (NOTE: Only DL to pick off a pass...just a side note for all 3 of this dynasties readers) ILB: Rueben Battle: 51 solo, 21 assists, 2.5 sacks, 10 TFL, and 8 passes defended(tied for team lead)....a solid all around season, and no injuries!!! I expected much less, heres to a solid year next season. Herb Pearson: Far outplayed a higher rated Wally Battle, did a little in run support....looks like he could be a nice piece next year to our LB crew. OLB: Jeff Horton: 55 solo, 17 assists, 1 sacks, 14 TFL, and an INT...and a first team all big-12 season...To say i was suprised is an understatement...his performed better then imagined...he was all over the field making plays and im stoked to have him back. Marshall Ford: 68 solo, 19 assists, 2 sacks, 8 tackles for loss, and ANOTHER 1st team all big 12 OLB!! ...This was supposed to be our worst point coming in to the year, and ended up doing just fine. I dont even know what to say here about these two...what a year! CB: Wesley Stephenson: Flat out crappy year....where the hell is the stud i saw in tapes when i came here...over two years he has done a whole lotta nothing for us...A New scout could reveal him to be a bit worse then we think...he just doesnt show up in games... Blaine Hopkins: Helped in run support...no picks either...these CBs were the worst spot this year...simple as that... Bernie Moss: MY GOD!!!! A CB ON THIS TEAM WHO CAN STOP THE PASS!!! 2 picks is 2 more then the rest of the CBs combined, so i really want to see him start next year...he could really do some good in a starting role... Earnest Collins: I didnt even know this guy was still on the team, and except for a few plays he might as well of graduated...anyways, he has now so whatever... S: Lester Diaz: What is there to say here...10 picks, all big 12 first team...i just know im beyond stoked he is a tiger for another year....what a blessing!! Toby Stinemetz: Best run support from the secondary, and helped a bit in the pass....a solid #2 for next year, is all i have to say!! Overall MVP: Diaz, not even close.... Outlook as of now for next year: 3-4 looks like it might be coming next year with our dearth at DT behind Logan...3-4 might very well be right for us next year...someone should look at our offensive formation, as we had more talent at RB yet tried to be a passing team...we need to play to our strengths, and im not going to decide for ardent what they are over there. Im not going to stoop to his level and call myself the OC

I love reading stuff like this Blade!
Once I get the new staff members and then the roster out tomorrow, you can let me know if you want to go with a 3-4. The same goes for Ardent on our offensive formation. I know you guys are a little hancuffed when you don't see who I'm recruiting. I should have some time tomorrow to get 2006 going, at least to the beginning of the season. With nobody at work today, I got some things done work wise. Get some rest and enjoy the offseason, before you know it, you'll be hearing the sound of the marching band!!! Todd |
