What does the rating mean? I'm now at 106/92.

I think I should watch some vets play to see how its done. I know the basic mechanics, now I need to learn to piece them together into a gameplan.

The first number is your Team Rating, it's basically a handicap system for blood bowl.. if one team has a greater TR then the other. THe other is a formula used by FUMBBL to indicate your relative team strength

I'm gonna try to get a game, if so, I'll give you guys the link to spectate and watch

A TR 100 team is a team whose total worth is 100,000 gold - which, by an astonishing coincidence, is the exact amount you get to spend on a starting team. Once you've played a game, your TR should go up (barring deaths) as you get gate money and experience.

SirFozzie, if you have a team at about the same level then I wouldn't mind giving my team from the old league another run out.

I have Ranked: 150 Chaos and 98 Norse

I have Unranked: 172 Dwarves

BTW, it's 1 Million Gold Crowns, not 100,000

My lot's Unranked: 129/130, so that'd probably be a no. Also creating a new basic team for random practic matches

Oops. Thanks.

I don't think you'll be able to say anything, in the game, but you'll be able to ask questions here, and I will do my best to answer them

His players have the GUARD ability.. which allows you to assist in a block even if you're in another opposing team's tackle zone.. he's using it to make sure he has a higher strength then me, and thus gets to roll 2 dice when blocking and choosing which one he wants.

You get the option to use the apocathery when a player is Badly Hurt, Seriously Injured or Killed. It auto heals the injury on a 2+ on a d6, (leading to much weeping and gnashing of teeth when it fails). You can ONLY use an apocathery once per game, so if a minor player gets hurt or even killed, you might wanna save that apocathery for later in the game

Star Player POints are what tracks how good a player is, and at certain amounts of Star Player POints, they get to roll for extra skills. (like the guard skills some of his players have)

If you had the foresight to buy an apothecary beforehand , you get the choice automatically when an injury happened

Looks like my thrower got 6 SPPs last game and got a new skill!

I chose Accurate. He'll be a passing machine one day!

Yeah - my second touchdown was pretty lucky, as I had to dodge and pick the ball up while in a tackle zone. Getting both of those plus the dodge after plus the going for it was not the most likely outcome.

I've withdrawn my initial team and I'm revamping. I'll resubmit when I get them approved. Made a pretty fatal flaw when I designed the original version (no blitzer-style players)

Ok.. each player has a Tackle Zone that extends to all 8 squares around him

XXX
XPX
XXX

P=Player, X=Tackle Zones

A player trying to do anything agility based (Throw the ball, catch the ball, dodge to a square), gets a +1 to the # he needs for EACH Tackle Zone he's in.. In case of dodges, you have to dodge if you're leaving someone's tacklezone, but only the tackle zones of the square you're moving counts

Submitting two teams: A revamped Cthulhu Crushers, now renamed Cthulhu Crusaders, complete with a few Mummies for that extra crunch. and Testament End, a Ogre team (goblin throw -- when it works, it's beautiful. When it doesn't, there's one less Goblin, and they're fragile to begin with).

I'll probably use the rest of the weekend to add teams in here, and hit the start season button monday or tuesday.

BTW.. seeding for the knockout tournament will be based off your teams regular season record. (3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss)

Sir Fozzie, word has spread here at my work about the league, and there's several D&D plus football fans who have never heard of Blood Bowl, have read the rules I printed out and want to play in the league. Would you be open to players not active here in the FOFC?
