BC over Clemson by 1 in Double OT. Kickers cost their teams so many games in college football.

bobby bowden should be fired, i don't care that he built the program. fsu hasn't been a contender since 2000, his idiot decision to keep his son on the staff and weatherford (and rix before him) on the field is ruining his program, and he isn't recruiting the type of lights out offensive talent that masked the bowden/richt system. it's either him or the program, imo

Not that there is anything wrong with a little St Bobby hate but where the hell did this come from?

North Carolina football is in the toilet. Wake has beaten 2 teams that most likely finish a combined 0-24. If Furman upsets UNC next week, Toilet Bowl could happen between 2 0-11 teams. State lost to Akron. Basketball season can't arrive any sooner for North Carolina. Best team in NC is a high school team who could beat all 5 D-1 NC teams.

Texas dodges the first bullet of the game. Horrible miss by the OSU kicker.

Man, does anybody have a kicker that can hit a big FG when you need them to? That OSU miss was horrible

Granted, I'm not watching this game, but ATM ...

Weatherford 21/33 for 251, 1 TD/1 Int
FSU RB's 10 carries for 21 yards & 2 fumbles.

I'm thinking Weatherford isn't the biggest problem for the 'Noles offense.

You may be right, but if it weren't for him, there would be no program.

I never said PSU defense didn't play well. Just they were on the field nearly double the time of the offense, and the offense and special teams kept making big miskates.

Great 1st quarter. Neither team has seperated. As expected, OSU's passing attack looks great, and Texas is running at will on the ground. OSU had the kicking mistake costing them a FG, and Texas had the bigger mistake with the fumble at the goalline.

Well, to start the 2nd quarter, Texas can't convert a 3rd an 1, and then OSU throws 3 straight incompletes.

Tereshinski gets hurt in UGA's second offensive series and is replaced by the true freshman Matthew Stafford. Stafford makes one freshman mistake, but makes more good plays than bad ones. He'll make some mistakes, but he's a game-changer. It was obvious on his film from high school, but it has become more clear today that this kid has a CANNON for a right arm. He'll definitely make defenses respect the medium-to-long pass. As I had surmised, Richt's comments to the press were pure coachspeak; this kid was going to play against USC from the start of the season. It just so happened that JT3 got hurt early and sped up him coming in.

Yeah. I heard. That's premature. I must say, though, that I've never seen a QB this kid's age that matches up in terms of raw physical tools and makeup.

There is no doubt he throws a pretty pass. Let's just hope he learns to read the defense fast.

That helmet-to-helmet call seemed pretty weak.

I dont see how you can say it is Penn State when it has been over 10 years (13 to be exact) since ND has won a bowl game. Anytime they have a half decent season everyone is drooling over them. The two times they have been in the BCS bowl games they got beat pretty bad.

ND's defense impressed me but Penn State's gameplan both offensively and defensively just plain stunk. I hate the fact that everytime they play a big game on the road they go into a conservative shell. The gimmick plays to get Williams the ball have to go too.

But congrats to ND they really stuck it to them today, and Weis didnt let up. Thats the killer instinct that I wish Penn State had sometimes.

Seemed weak? That was one of the worst calls in a major game in the last decade. The ref should be fired and walked off the field before Texas kicks off.

In college football, the facemask is specifically included as part of the helmet in determining a helmet to helmet hit. That is where it is different than the NFL rule. They changed the rules a couple of years back to remove intent as a part of the call.

Being a High School ref I can give a little insight on this. When it comes to grounding the referee is suppose to delay on that call for two reasons. The umpire will tell him if the ball crosses the line of scrimmage and the Linesmen or Back Judge will inform him if there was a receiver in the area. So instead of throwing a flag that he could regret he waits to get the info from the others before making the decision.

The call was a joke. Ohio State hasn't gotten a break on a call tonight. Texas, if you believe the zebras, played a 100% clean first half. Yet that hit, was worth 15 yards? Horrible call. Simply horrible.

Nope, it was worth 6 yards and a first down. What calls do you say the Texas defense got away with?

Meanwhile, Air Force is giving Tennesse everything they've got. 31-17 Vols, but AF driving yet again (5 mins left 4Q) as UT hasn't really solved the option much all night.

Not saying they have gotten away with anything in specifics. But I'm also not convinced Ohio State is the only team on the field committing penalties either.

That was an interesting play. I wonder how much he's worked with the #1 offense. The receiver (MoMass) slowed down tremendously on his route. It looked like he didn't think Stafford could throw it that far. From what I've seen so far, it's time to name the kid #1, and expect both some mistakes, and some eye-popping plays. Considering we've got UAB and then Colorado, both at home, it makes sense.
