How about we end up with a 27 inning game 7!

One silver lining for the Indians is they can save their bullpen for Game 7

So what does "CHC -113" mean in terms of game 7? I assume its some gambling thing, but what is it?

You bet $113 on the Cubs to win $100. (Or some variation... $11.30 to win $10) Basically 1-1 odds. An even bet with the "vig" is usually -110 or -115.

Thanks

So does that work the other way too then? Bet $100 on the Indians to win $113?

I haven't seen the lines for this game but usually both sides combined are a little worse than 1-1 so that Vegas/the bookie makes money. I would guess Cleveland is close to -100 (exactly even) if Chicago is -115ish.

One step closer to matching the 1985 Royals.........and last day that the champs, the Royals, are the reigning champs.

How is it possible to call that an out at second. He literally never had it in his hand.

I think sometimes in real time the brain "sees" what it expects to see.

Same reason you see refs call a foul on a guy going up straight and making no contact when a star is the one driving the lane.

The most annoying thing in baseball is the hold up sign to review. I mean, what's going to happen?

Tito has been great but he seriously screwed this up. Kluber never should have been out there for the 4th. Sending him out for the top of the 5th was just brutal.

I've basically just had it on tin the background, and this is basically the first game I've watched all year.

I literally thought Cleveland was about to score just now based upon the crowd reaction.

The Cubs are the better team, but that last run scored due to an umpire missing a strike. It's long past time to take balls and strikes away from the umps.

Like I said, what was Maddon thinking? Low stress situation with 2-outs and a 4 run lead.

Maddon's getting too cute for his own good.

On the flipside, that inning shoulda been fucking over had the ump called a clear strike a strike.

I love Maddon. Think he's one of the, if not the best manager in the game.

But this asinine fascination he had tonight of pulling Hendricks was stupid when it was brought up, it was stupid to before the game started and it was horribly executed.

It was like since he had made the decision that's what he was going to do, he looked for every excuse he could to do it. As much as I like him, if the Cubs lose this game, it is squarely on him. What a horrific decision.

As an impartial viewer, I'll speak for all of us. Were you aware the same thing happened in the top half of the inning?

Okay, I understand Maddon's thinking now.

He brought in Lester so Ross could hit.

Or maybe he knows it's either a HR or he's out... no need to sprint, lol.

As a very very not impartial viewer, I only care about bad calls against my team.

(But yes, balls and strikes have been asinine on both sides the entire series).

Why do some players still try to slide into first, it's slower than running though it. It only makes sense on those rare occasions where a tag is more likely than a force (but that is rare).

Throwing the same 3 pitchers at the Cubs over and over again is not working. Too many looks for these hitters with no other variation.

What was Lester yelling about? Those pitchers looked like they were out of the strike zone and the replay showed it.

I'm changing at the gym. A TV is on the game and two guys near me are talking about the history to be made.

One guy to other: Both teams have played great. Cleveland is on a good run, too...good basketball team....good football team...

Me: (double take)
