Rodgers led us to the title game the past two years. Not having him will hurt, but at least he went #1.

Presumably by Butter (EDIT: n/m, clearly he did). I will tend to do it on 6 hour drafts if we're getting down to an hour or so left but I'm hoping everyone does their part and sends a PM right after their pick. With these quick drafts, I can't keep up fast enough or have the inbox space to do it.

I am glad Danny picked Foster. Honestly, it was just messing me up trying to pick between the two of these guys...

1.5 Ray Rice, RB BAL

I honestly would have taken any of the Big Three RB's this year (Foster, Rice, McCoy). Flip a coin. Had all three fallen I was going elsewhere, but here he sits.

edit: I have PMed Subby, btw.

edit: I have PMed Subby, btw.

The Big Three, as we call them here, each brought so much to the table.

Foster's pros is he is almost certainly the best pure yard chewer of the bunch, and his receptions took a sharp uptick last season. His downside is his potential for injury and the presence of Ben Tate.

Rice was just all around excellent both rushing and receiving, and he is definitely the best receiver of the three and targeted a lot. He's the most like Marshall Faulk from back in the day that I can remember.

McCoy isn't as prolific a receiver as Rice and didn't show the same ability there as Foster last year (although I'll wait to see if Foster does it again). Also, his team is less obviously dependent on him than the teams of those others, with the uninspiring Flacco or WR corps in BAL and the oft-injured Schaub and no help from any other receivers Johnson in HOU. That said, damn, he does it all, he's so electric and 17 TDs on the ground, holy cow. I put him third of the three, though, just so slightly because I don't think he can reproduce that scoring total.

Mccoy is excellent, but I do put him on a slightly separate tier from Rice and Foster. After those three, there is another tier with a good sized drop off.

Again - why I am so bad at fantasy football. I take the guys I love to watch, not necessarily the best picks.

Would I have picked Newton here? No. There are players who are more likely to have better seasons still available, and at his position, too.

Would I then thusly poo poo this pick? Hell no. Newton is an uber pass-rush-score threat in fantasy land, and you have to assume he will take another step forward in his development and be a better overall player.

Frankly, assuming the top QBs I see remaining were gone, Newton was a likely target of mine in the second round (damn you ).

I'd have gone Johnson at 7 and had Stafford higher than Newton but he's someone strongly on my radar at 9. In short, like CR said, not that far of a drop.

Speaking of CR, join the league once you get a chance so I can start inputting draft results.

Ok, everyone's in Yahoo so I have entered the draft results through 2.2

Also, I have posted them in post #5.

Just a reminder from post 1 because this seems to come up every draft we have: "We're using Yahoo for the draft and I'll try to keep that up to date as often as I can. I'll also try to keep up with the draft in post #5. However, there's a quirk in Yahoo with regards to players remaining in the pool. If you go to the "Players" tab in Yahoo, it will take the drafted players out of the pool and you'll only see who is left. However, if you search on a name- it will give you all players with that name, available or not. So, if Warren Moon was picked 1.1 and I'm at 1.2, I won't see him in the available players. However, if I search on "Moon", he will show up even tho he's been picked."

After noon ET today, we're on the 2 hour clock. So, starting at noon, the person who is up has to have picked by 2pm.

There are so many good WRs out there it seems. They are worth huge points, if you can hit on them, tho.

2.6 RB Chris Johnson TEN

Go figure. Like a regular fantasy draft, I pick two running backs to start. There is a sharp drop down in RB quality coming with five off the board now, while I felt the drop off in receivers and QBs is much smaller. With TEs, we're already at the drop, with the top two gone already.

Yahoo and thread updated thru 2.6

List pick will always be top player on the Yahoo o-rank. Right now that's Ryan Matthews, who will unfortunately be auto-picked in about 15 minutes if no pick is made. Then Butter is up with me next

I had Fitz a little above 2 other WRs but went with who I had next on the board. WRs are such big points in this league that it makes it tough to not grab them above the other two skill positions even if they are rarer.

Rodgers & Eli is a hell of a combination. If MJD doesn't hold out - you will be fierce.
