If I am not mistaken, this would be the reason why. Seems that either would I would have gotten one of the top two.

Yeah, he said he wouldn't be around much this week and hasn't been on the board in a few days. In fairness, the draft wasn't supposed to start until Monday... so we'll just have to give him time.

Any opinions on a site to move to after the draft? I tried ESPN, but they don't meet our scoring system.

Looks like we'll be having a computer pick at this rate and then then TLK will be up at noon tomorrow.

Unless Siddiqui shows up, it looks like he will get Andre Johnson. The clock is set to fire at noon. I'll have my pick ready to go then.

You know... one thing I won't miss about Sportsline is their buggy draft room. We're getting the same time remaining error that we get every year. I'm heading out, so I'm going to make Siddiqui's pick to keep this thing moving.

Yahoo is incredibly customizable when it comes to that, and I don't think we have anything too far out of the ordinary. Yahoo is great

Yahoo doesn't allow us to have a customizable online draft, though. I still haven't found a free site that will allow us to hold a draft the way we've been able to at sportsline.com...even though it rarely works as advertised...lol!!

That is true, and that would be a nice feature for Yahoo to have. I imagine if we dug enough, we could find a site that does purely drafts.

Oooor...we could be really tricky and create a draft file to be used by one of the many FOF draft programs!

Just made my pick.

The Original Trilogy is up.

I took a big gamble on McFadden but considering the new rookie keeper rule if he steps up it could be a huge pickup

I would go with Yahoo for our league this year. We can discuss the following season at a later date.

I had McFadden in my queue for that same reason...could be useful this season but more so for his value as an extra keeper for the following year. But, like I said in the draft room, I'm somewhat glad I didn't have to make the decision.

Thought MJD just might fall to me...thanks a ton, SI for wrecking that dream!!!

Not overly excited about any other players at that spot, nor was I all that excited to pick CJ with his current injury concerns and his usual antics...but, somehow, he always seems to put up numbers so I'm hoping that trend continues.

I messed with Yahoo this morning and they were missing a few things like our bonus points for longer touchdowns. My next few days are quite busy, but I plan on checking out FOX Sports and the Sportline free leagues.

SI's pick may have advanced without him picking from reading the chat in the draft room. I'm thinking the 2 hour limit may be working, even though the display doesn't show properly.

The good news about the moving is that I have a Cingular card so I can check whenever I stop (hell, I can check even when not stopped to see where the draft it at- but I can't really make a pick).

That was why I was really hoping to get some progress done this weekend- get some of those important early rounds out of the way since I had a little time Fri-Sun. But most of Sunday and Monday were load the truck and yesterday and today are 500+ mile driving days. Followed by a Thursday thru this weekend of moving in.

FYI: Lathum is up.

Also, for the draft, I like Yahoo since it's free and ridiculously customizable. However, it lacks the capability of a slow, live draft in the free game.

What I've done for baseball and football leagues in the past is just create a draft thread on the board and the commish or whoever updates it every 2 hours. With Yahoo, you can assign players to teams as you go along so it keeps the pool updated with who hasn't been picked yet.

I gave the site a quick look and it looks promising. The scoring system options match our current system. Anyone else want to give it a look? Thanks gottimd.

I am confused.

I woke up this morning and went to make my pick and the computer picked the Bears defense for me??

Did the computer pick for me or did TLK?

Either way I think it is crap. Sorry to sound bitter, but I am on the west coast so cant make my pick until later and other people have gotten hours and hours past the deadline to make their pic, why am I getting screwed?

I don't know if I clicked something wrong, but when I clicked to enter the draft room, another screen come up with all my personal information and a Submit button, saying that I'll be charged $149.99 for the league. Of course I didn't click Submit, but just a heads up... maybe they randomly put there there for people.

I just dont get it.

Obviously 25 hours didnt go by.

Again, I am sorry if I sound like sour grapes, but I've been in this league since the start and take it somewhat seriously. I really didnt want chicago with that pick.

Can TLK manualy change it?

I think the clock keeps running down from 25 hours. So if I pick, the guy after me picks, etc... the clock is still ticking down from 25 hours... Looks like 25 hours has passed in total since we started? Does that make sense?

I don't think it is the total time, since I have seen it at 23 hours quite a few times - I think what we can agree on, though, is that it is very buggy and something needs to be done to fix that (be it in that draft room, which doesn't seem likely, or complete the rest of it here or something)

Considering how buggy this draft has been with the timer, I have no problem letting Lathum make his actual pick, assuming that it's technically possible.

What about moving the draft to this thread and forgetting the Sportsline thing? It's a nice interface, but I think the problems with the clock are giving everyone a bit of a headache.

I'm also for us ditching the draft room and completing the draft here, in this thread. We can use the draft room as a reference point for available players but I think it's best to avoid the buggy draft room if at all possible at this point, especially so others aren't penalized by the computer.

lathum called me around 4 eastern to let me know i was on the clock, and i logged in to make my pick at 5:30...the two hour clock was apparently working fine (i had 28 minutes left), so it appears fine

that said, i am fine with moving to a thread based draft if that is what people want to do
