FOFC NEXTEL CUP Season 14

A little controversy at the Brickyard. On the very first lap of the race, Kai Collins was taken out in a wreck with He's Crapnificent. Rumors began to circulate that Crapnificent was under orders to take out Collins, who came into the race 2nd place in the standings, behind Crapnificent's teammate It's Craptacular. When asked after the race neither Crapnificent or Craptacular would comment. Aside from the controversry, Ren Snow had a dominant car all day long. He moved up from his 5th place starting spot and led 112 of the days 160 laps. It's Craptacular finished 3rd to boost his points lead.

I don't like this being in third crap...

For the first 59 laps, two cars, Telle Snow and David Yellope led the way. The two cars were well out ahead of the rest of the pack until Yellope was involved in a crash with a lapped car, Deac Prosser and was knocked out the race. 59 laps later, Telle Snow was also involved in an accident knocking him out of the race. Kool Breeze took over midway through the race, leading 97 laps but wasn't able to sustain the lead. Codge Daravan took over with around 180 laps left and other than during green flag pit stops he led the rest of the way.

It's Craptacular yet again had another Top Five finish. Like he has all season, he started from his starting spot just outside of the Top Ten and avoided trouble and found himself near the front at the end. Kai Collins picked up his 5th Top Five of the season with a 2nd place finish.

It's Craptacular has now expanded his lead to 120 points over second place Ren Snow. Now in his 14th season on the FOFC Nextel Cup Circuit Craptacular is finally finding a lot of success. After Snow in 2nd is Billy Bushinhimer in 3rd, 132 back. Billy has had a quiet season but still finds himself 3rd, usually you expect a lot of wins and also a few DNF's from Billy but he has been quite consistent this season. Kai Collins finds himself 4th, 137 back of Craptacular. Kai has won 3 races but also has 2 DNF's. Despite finishing in the Top Ten in 7 out of 9 races Jeeber D Mack finds himself 5th spot. 6th spot belongs to Gold Golden who has had a quiet season, but no DNF's which helps. Telle Snow finds herself in 7th, she could have been as high as 2nd if it were not for the wreck at Lowe's. Telle is 178 back of Craptacular, but only 58 out of 2nd place. David Gonzalez finds himself in 8th place with 1 win and 2 Top Five finishes, but only 3 Top Tens. Nick Phillips Jr. finds himself 9th place in the standings. Phillips Jr. has yet to pick up a win in his Nextel Cup career, a far cry from his father Nick Phillips who picked up 3 championships. Rounding out the Top Ten is Alejandro Murietta. Murietta has had many great qualifying runs but only has 1 Top Five.

Once again at the end of the day, Kai Collins found himself in victory lane. An amazing 4 wins in 10 races. Nick Phillips Jr. was desperately trying to make a pass late but was unable to do so. Bad day for It's Craptacular. He finished 28th after an accident after he had led 69 of the races first 131 laps.

Telle Snow dominated most of the days race but finished 2nd. Alejandro Murietta led the final 20 laps and won. The main story was of course the championship race between Bushinhimer, Collins and Craptacular. All three were running close as the laps winded down until Bushinhimer was involved in a crash and knocked out of the race with 25 laps left. Kai Collins fell back as the laps winded down and was unable to catch back up to It's Craptacular who finished 5th, Collins 15th.
