Nods,

I don't want to see HB get screwed over. I just don't want to see myself get hurt by the time limit in the morning if he suddenly picks in the AM.

Ideally, you would send in a list

Just as a note, at the pace we are currently out we would finish the draft on September 14th.

I apologize for the delay, boys. I really do. The time zone thing is a killer. From now on, I'll be sure to send a list of picks to Sach each night before I go to bed.

So, without further delay....

2.13 (TOT) Corey Dillon, RB, New England Patriots.

No worries, HB! It's going to take a while for everyone to get comfortable with the flow.

Ok, I'm off for the day.
General Mike should be picking for me when my turn comes up, so if you have a list for me to draft from today, you'll need to find another proxy. Sorry!

Wouldn't have done it in a normal draft, but considering our keeper rules, the pick is a sound one here...

I'm about to head out for the night. But, I'll be back in a few hours and will check in then. I will most likely be quite drunk when I return, so it's to your guys benefit to ensure that it's my pick when I stroll in...

Very good pick. He's actually ahead of Harrison on my board since its a kepper league, but Id rather go with guy I think will be better this year.

I'm sure it won't be my pick for quite a while, but I'll be watching .

Now that a couple of picks have gone by, I'll also say that normally I wouldn't have taken Johnson higher than the backs taken after him, but since it is a keeper draft, I like Johnson's age and running at this stage of his career. He just beat out Barlow because I felt Johnson had more offensive weapons around him to keep the defensive pressure off.

Guys, this just can't work like this.

The six hour limit is now a hard rule.

Blade, you have 1 hour to make your pick, or I'm making it for you from my list.

The time is now 10:15 AM CST.

If I don't get a list, or am not notified that you are using a proxy, from here on out, I pick for you from the best player avaliable on my sheet. That means straight from the list, without regard to position needs for your team.

I hate to do it this way, but I really can't see an alternative.

I propose that after the third round we start enforcing the six hour rule, or at least some kind of time limit. I figure by then, ideally, everyone will have their 3 keepers so your team isn't necessarily crippled if you miss a pick, but everyone should have the hang of it by the end of third, too.
Also I was been assuming that it'd work like the real draft and if you miss a pick you can jump in at any point and pick.

I think missing a pick is too harsh. I'll pick for them.

Having said that, if the inactivity of an owner becomes the norm, I reserve the right to boot them from the league.

We posted at the same time. I actually prefer your method to my proposal, sach, although perhaps instead of your personal list you should go off a public one. I know they have a top 200 list at sportingnews.com. Not saying that you'd cheat or anything, but at least that way we could all take a look at the list and etc.

I totally agree with this decision. This will take too long if the 6 hour rule is not enforced.

I'm somewhat disappointed with the seeming lack of enthusiasm thus far. I'm in a few other fantasy leagues and I'm way more excited about this one than any other.

Right now we're projected to finish on September 20th, so an increase in strictness is needed. If someone can't make the committment to being online every so often in case their pick comes up or having a proxy then they shouldn't be in the league.

I'm excited as well although my #1 priority is my money league. But there does seem like there could be a lack of interest for some owners. Perhaps that will change, but the draft tends to be the most exciting part other than on Sundays.

This is the list we will use for people missing picks.

http://fantasy.sportingnews.com/nfl/rankings/overall/

Again, if the inactivity of any owner becomes epidemic, they will be kicked out of the league.

As we approach the date, we'll have to see where we stand. We can do an online draft, with those who can't make it sending in a list. It's not my favorite way of doing things, but we have to have this done by the 9th.

Just a quick question. I was reading the rules and it say 1/2 for running baacks. Now I have played in leagues where there is a "games played" penalty. I just anna make sure I can start 2 running backs every week of the season.

A little conflicted here, but I'm going with:

2.12 (DC) Brian Westbrook, RB, PHL
3.1 (DC) Hines Ward, WR, PIT

The Pennsylvania connection.

Lathum is back on the clock.

From what I read in the rules, it doesn't seem like there's any penalty. It's just an option as to whether or not to use two RB's every week.

From my understanding of the rules, there is not a penalty. Just flexability in which positions to start..

Darn you for taking Westbrook
