Yeah it was pretty shitty allowing the Nationals' replicants to stay there all rested and ready in LA and everything...

Didn't say it wasn't for them either. Certainly not "everyone" as previously stated.

You see his point. Nats are performing under the same circumstances.

Frankly, the Dodgers need to get off their butts and start playing.

I remember really disliking Big Papi when he was paired with Manny, but that was more about Manny and some asshole Red Sox fans. Ortiz was always a class act. I will miss having him in the game

What is the point of having replay? His foot is clearly off the bag and it's not even close.

His point was everyone was on the same schedule, which was wrong. Had he pointed out that the Nats were also on the same schedule, I wouldn't have had a reason to comment. I'm going to assume that he didn't realize the Dodgers series had a game bumped. If he did, he was being willfully ignorant, which could be the case. But he called it the "offseason" so blissfully unaware is probably more accurate.

As to your second point, yes. The starting pitching and timely hitting, other than Seager, have been woeful.

Why does it matter what the other series have been scheduled? Only one that matters to the Dodgers is the one they are playing in. And their opponent has to go through it same as them.

You know, whatever the fate of the Giants, three of the last four games have been simply phenomenal baseball games to watch.

Dodgers are trying to decide whether or not they trust Clayton's back enough to pitch him. It's not injured but it's also not back to where it was in April

I suppose one could think that if they didn't read what I wrote and his subsequent response. Perhaps I should have given him a chance to clarify his comments.

Honestly, why would it matter that the Cubs and Giants didn't have the same schedule at this point? It was pretty clear what point he was making.

I think if you said "it's a travesty the schedule that the Dodgers and Nats have had" no one would have said anything. Singling out your team there was just strange.

I guess there was a reason why I wrote series and not just team. Unless you felt like the Dodgers are the only ones in this series, which wouldn't explain why they are currently down 2-1.

I was referring to your original comment which made reference to only the Dodgers and not the Nats. Hence why I put them into your "travesty" quote.

Funny little Rose thing happened to me two weeks ago. A friend of mine and I were walking through the MGM Grand shop area when we were passing a sports memorabilia store. There was a booth off to the side of the entrance, and in there was none other than Rose himself, with a couple others who appeared to be handlers/gatekeepers. We walked in, and sure enough, Rose was doing an autograph/memorabilia signing. It was near the end of his time there that day, so there weren't a ton of people walking by (plus, it was a Wednesday). So that's why it was surreal to just be walking by a window of sorts, and oh yeah, there's baseball's hit king just kicking it.

Prices for items to be brought in to be signed were of course ridiciulous, so neither I nor my friend bothered to try (although they did well in employing a chatty and very attractive young woman in an old school Reds jersey to try to to talk us into it--sorry, miss, you caught us about two beers too soon...).

It's ridiculous that a veteran like Zimmerman would swing at the first pitch right after a 27 minute bottom of the inning.

9 players hit in this series and I'm not sure I'd classify any of them as intentional. A couple maybe were leaned into in fact

Espinosa definitely did. Except for his one hot streak each year, it's his best weapon at the plate.

I don't understand how they brought him back this year after he left mid-Postseason to attend an autograph signing. Guy's a complete scumbag and didn't even seem to be an insightful analyst, but I guess FS1 is desperate for any eyeballs and publicity they can get.

What a throw by Pence, but am I the only one who thinks it looked on replay like Crawford never touched Fowler with the glove?

I'd imagine Fowler would have been causing a scene if he wasn't actually tagged, but still.
