Wade Moore Selects

8.2 Deacon Ernest Frye - Amen - Bad Guy - What's funnier than a bad guy that is a leader in the church? Come on now. A money hungrey Deacon at this family's church is a great foil to the ever-loveable Fred.

First show I'd never heard of.

Wow thats a blast from the 80's, all one season of it. No George Jefferson for anyone now, if he was even a consideration, Sherman Hemsley played the Deacon. Only reason I know this show is because I grew up in Germany, and the lone US Military station, AFN, carried all the crappy, cheap to get shows.

8.3 Red Forman, That 70s Show - Dad

Here's a dad who's done it all. He's caught his son with porn. He's caught his son with a girl. Caught his son drinking, and caught him smokin out. He's even had the TV heartattack. Red is both loveable and evil, and has done it all. The perfect sitcom Dad.

Hmm, I think George Jefferson could have been picked as a bad guy himself, and might have earned more points. I admire the offbeat selection though.

And I deliver this slight criticism with full confidence that wade is mature enough to not tell me to shove my head up my ass.

Yeah, I knew this pick would not be my strongest - but at this point I'm more trying to build a sitcom than pick what I think will be the most popular characters. Not sure if the strategy will work, but it's what I'm going with here.

I am not going to be around much today to monitor lists. NFC and AFC championship parties to go to. So today it'll be on you guys...we've done a lot over the weekend so we'll start the time limit up again on Monday morning.

Verrrrrry interesting. A bold move - the downside I see (besides a lot of people hating her and her dumb music) is that her show is considered a children's show rather than a "sitcom" or what-have-you. I wonder if the Flintstones should bear the same stigma?

The Flintstones aired during prime time when it was released.

8.9 - Lowell Mathers, Housekeeper, Wings

I am sure this pick will be a touchy one but he was the Mechanic at the airport where 90% of the show took place. He was basically the housekepper since all he did was fix things.

8.10 Eric Murphy aka "E", Entourage - Best Friend of Lead Character

Fits the category description to a T. Has been Vince's best friend since they were kids, and is the only one that continually puts put with the crap when Vince goes into star prima donna mode, and often times is the only one that can reel Vince back in.

Nice pick, Danny. I thought I would have that as a "misfit toy" selection at the end of the draft.

I would have gone with him as a Wildcard more than a Nanny/Butler.

I almost picked her with my last pick, but with the role definition, I'm not sure I wanted to endure the questioning. She technically wasn't a sister.

Bold choice. I have some similar people in mind from other shows of this type, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to pick them. I definitely haven't been yet.

I like this a LOT. It may be questioned because South Park isn't seen as a sitcom as much as The Simpsons or other shows like it on major networks, but if you get past that nobody can question you on the solidness of this pick. Right up there with Gilligan's Island if you ask me.

There's a HUGE name in housekeeping left, I'm really suprised nobody has picked that person yet. Even had their own spinoff, if I remember correctly.

By blood that's true, but I'd say she was a sister to Jonathan in the family dynamic on the show. For Alyssa, it's worth the risk

That pic is more from her "Charmed" days than her "Who's the Boss" days.
