You guys like Gruden on MNF? Not too bad, IMO. He's a lot better then many of the guys they've had for a long time.

Good thing Dick Jauron is such a nice guy. If this were another head coach, he would not be on the flight to Buffalo.

EDIT: "he" being the kick returner.

I was just about to post about this as well.

I feel like he was quite good - especially for his first regular season game. Nice to see them get back to real football coverage - even though I like TK as a general rule.

On that note..

MIKE AND MIKE?!

oof.

Does anyone know how that last play is treated stats wise? I'm in a tie right now but have Fred Jackson. He lateraled and it hit the ground and then was recovered by someone on the team which signals a dead ball on 4th down.

-Is there a chance that gets called a lost fumble?

-Is there a chance he gets any yards for that?

I mostly feel bad for Trent Edwards, who played a terrific game. He deserved a chance to run the clock down. He didn't get it.

It was a fumble by Jackson, so yeah - it should be recorded as a fumble . His was not a lateral, that was a fumble imo.

As for yards - I wonder the same thing. I have the TE that caught the initial pass.

Epic chokejob by the Bills, at least it happened to another division rival so there's not as much aggravation.

Always love the Charger throwback uniforms.

I hate baseball dirt on the football field, I'm glad the Marlins are finally getting their own place in a few years.

it should be called a lost fumble. whether it's officially scored that since it didn't result in anything but a couple more yards is anybody's guess

Well, it's a fumble, but it's not a lost fumble since New England didn't recover. As for the yards, I don't think so.

My roommate is a Bills fan. I'm scared for the breakable things in my house right now. Even before the Bills scored their touchdown, he was saying "This is setting up just like the Dallas Monday Night game. I don't even want to watch."

imho the bills offense was better than their defense...the defense started to struggle a bit when brady started to get his feet back under him in the 2nd half

pats didn't have much of an answer to the bills' offense - if the bills hadn't stopped themselves it woulda been long over

Prediction: Darrius Heyward-Bey will catch three 80 yard TD passes, and Al Davis will bend over and moon everybody.

but as they were pointing out, it's 4th down, so if the fumble is recovered by the person who didn't fumble it it's a lost fumble

As much as I'd pay to see that, with the balls sailing through the scky so far I'm thinking no..

Well with the 4th down rules of a ball hitting the ground and being recovered by someone other than the ballhandler ending in a dead ball I wasn't sure.

I also thought that on laterals, a player gets yardage for the amount of yards they run. Jackson got 9 yards on the lateral which if counted toward receiving yards, ends up in me winning by 1.

Is it just me or is Greenie terrible. I mean Golic is on his mark, but Greenberg looks very green as a play by play man. Lots of dead air.

They let Mike and Mike do one game a year and it's one too many. Gruden is pretty good in the booth and a significant upgrade over Kornheiser. I also liked Collinsworth in the SNF booth much more than Madden.

I burst out laughing on that interception, only 25% of it caused by the throw. I don't mind ESPN as much as a lot of people here seem to but they deserve every bit of the hate for putting him in the booth.
