13.10. (SSR) Jerry Rice, WR, Oakland Raiders
My first pick choice was taken and I think Rice is the top WR still left in this draft. |

So it looks like we'll be down to 2hrs per pick for tomorrow to make sure we finish up and give sachmo some time to make up the teams. Right?

Not if we finish 14 by 10pm tonight. No, I've already resigned myself to having quite a busy day of putting in teams on Saturday.
BTW, there will be no forum draft next year. |

My 2 cents....
Hopefully, have the 14th round finished by tonight. Give everyone until 12 pm tomorrow, to complete a list of enough picks to cover the 15th and 16th rounds. Worst case, it would be 24 picks for one team. Sachmo compiles the picks, and we're finished by tomorrow afternoon, giving everyone a day to decided their lineup. I have no idea how long it'll take to imput the rosters, however..... Last edited by TLK : 09-07-2004 at 02:41 PM. |

Here is the schedule, again:
1st - 5th Sept. 2nd - 6th Sept. 3rd - 7th Sept. 4th - 8th Sept. 5th - 9th, 10th Sept. 6th - 11th, 12th Sept. 7th - 13th, 14th Sept. 8th - 15th, 16th We are still on schedule to finish THE DRAFT by tomorrow at 10pm. That does not take into account putting the teams in, which will take about an hour, most likely. If we are not finished with round 14 by 10 pm tonight, we go to 2 hour turns. I'm still not sure that we can make it if that happens, but at this point, I'm honestly tired to chasing people down and trying to get teams together. If you want to be sure to get your guys, send me a list, because as of 10 pm on the 8th, this draft is over, meaning that whatever point we are at when the clock strikes 10, I go to autodraft. If I don't have a list, you get SportingNews players. |

I don't really care who I get for the last two picks, to be honest. I don't have a 'Super Sleeper' that I've been hoping falls to the 15th or 16th round. If we stay in the forum mode, I will happily pick them, but in reality, my team is what it is at this point. One or two more #3-4 WRs or #4 RBs aren't going to make a signicant difference in the number of wins I get this year or my squad's long term future...especially since I can only keep one player per position for next season. 99% probable that they'll all be marquee guys..guys that have been off the board for days. I guess what I'm saying is, if you want to take the draft offline and finish it, I'm fine with that. I'm not even sure at this point whether or not I'll bother compiling a list.

If even one of you decides "not to compile a list", then this is going to drag onto 10pm tomorrow night. I only ask that those who are not interested in drafting anymore to PLEASE put a list together with 24 players on it at most so that those who wish to continue drafting don't have to wait for your pick time to expire.
The best procedure would be to do this... For everyone not interested in drafting: make a list and send it to me, or if you want to use the SportingNews list, let me know in a PM. For everyone interested in drafting: I'll do what I can to make sure that your turn comes around in a timely manner, but if even one person fails to respond, we're delayed by 4 hours at least. |

I still need my sleeper pick and a kicker.... so I will still be drafting... I'll be around to make my picks until tomorrow afternoon... I'll get a list to sachmo, sometime before then....

Well, to be honest, I haven't been really bad about stretching out the time up to this point (there was one incident over the weekend involving sleep, but not that bad, I hope). I'd like to keep picking. But if it goes beyond an hour or two, make the pick. No need to wait the full four in order to give me all the time that I'm supposed to get. Does that make sense? I just don't want people held up because I haven't been on to decide which scrub I want to pick in order to fill out my roster. If it's a reasonable amount of time since I've come up and I haven't been here, pick for me in order to keep things moving.
For instance, I'll be gone for about three hours (until at least 6:30 CDT). If a pick should appear for me in that time, please feel free to go off the list and just give me a warm body to sit on my bench.

I'll be unavalible from now (4:30 CST) until about 7 or 8.
If Timmy doesn't pick by 5:54 CST, he get's Marcus Pollard, TE, IND. The next pick will be MikeVic, who will pick by proxy, so that pick won't be made until at least that time. Sorry to anyone who misses out. |
