I keep seeing times where the person up is online and so is the next person but that next person takes off before the pick is made.

The rules say 6 and it would be unfair to change that without any notice. However, with as slow as it's been the last couple of days, I'm tempted to knock that down to 3 hours starting tomorrow at noon. Any thoughts?

If there isn't a lot of opposition, starting tomorrow at noon, there will be 3 hours before autopick (and the 9/10 rule for first pick of the morning remains).

I'm all for it, but if we're dropping down to 3 hours, there should be a rule on who/how we're sending proxy lists so that there's no issues with somebody who knows they won't be around for 5 hours but doesn't know who to send their picks to (or something comes up and the person they sent to has to be offline) before taking off.

Personally, I should be pretty much online from now until Thursday during draft hours (with the exception of tomorrow night) so I can help out with that and definitely will if it helps us avoid any sort of draft Thursday night.

That's a really good point. I should also mostly be around between now and then, except for tonight (wife's birthday) and I'm usually pretty good at checking during the day during work.

However, make sure you know that person will be around and ask! I've had a couple of times where I have gotten lists and haven't been around and that doesn't really help.

Also, since that pick was done at 8:44pm, the next one is due by 9am. If no pick has been made, then Clogging the Bases will pick RP Tony Pena.

Since we may have a run on autopicks, here are the next 3:
Josh Willingham
Curt Schilling (isn't he dead?)
Colby Rasmus (who?)

Tomorrow we switch to a 3 hour clock starting at noon.

So, again, if there's a pick due at a certain time, make the pick so we can move on. Also, if you were due for a pick and were late but the autopick hasn't been made, it's too late. The autopick has already been made, even if it's not on the board.
