I started way behind and was happily zipping through 30 second blocks and mimizing the impact of the craptastic announcers. Now I've caught up. Ugh.

Nice seeing the Raiders get humiliated though.

That's fine, but how about all the late hits, and facemasks? Raiders are, as usual, horribly undisciplined. Much like the Lions inate nature to suck, the Raiders have it in their DNA: This must be fucking stupid on the field.

That was a solid game for Russell considering what he had to work with. As many say, he is basically a rookie this year, he had every chance to panic tonight but didn't. He made some bad decisions, but many QBs would have done a lot worse with the crap that the Raiders have at WR and OL. (Luckily for the Raiders they at least have some good backs and a good TE.)

Kornheiser is much worse than the 3 Mikes who only do this once a year. Tony tried to make it sound like every single Packer fan was against Aaron Rodgers and they'd storm the field if he struggled. He should stick to PTI and his radio show.

If the Raiders play the Lions, who will lose?

Those of us who get stuck watching the game.

I'm a happy Broncos fan tonight, but I have to say that I'm really impressed by Russell and Fargas. Too bad for them that they just don't have much in the way of receivers or a defense.

Seriously, Ashley Lelie? A guy who couldn't cut it in Atlanta or San Francisco? Hell, I know the Broncos stuck with the kid for too long, but he was still a project then. Everyone knows how badly Lelie sucks now. How does he even get a contract?

Anyway, business as usual for the Broncos against the Raiders, and they didn't even need a ninja timeout this year. Nice start.

That would be the old "Broken Windshield" game. If you left two tickets on the dashboard of your car, you would come back to find your windshield smashed - with four tickets on your dashboard.

I must be the lowest common denominator. I like Kornheiser. Although that is mainly because of his radio show. We have a rapport. I listen and he does his thing.

Come again? Is the measure for spectacular 300 yards? The dude completed 81.8% of his passes, threw for a TD, had no INT's, and ran for 35 yards and another TD.

The measure for spectacular is Brett Favre. Aaron Rodgers obviously didn't throw enough interceptions and he ran for too many yards. Yahoo doesn't even give him credit for being sharp, but rather he was just sharp enough to squeeze out a win. Aaron Rodgers ranged from spectacular to brilliant during the game and almost everybody knows it.

The worst thing about last night's game was how Eddie Royal beat Hall time after time. You know, the Raiders could've drafted Royal instead of trading for Hall since the Broncos picked him up a few spots later than the pick the Raiders gave up.

I don't think he meant it intentionally to talk trash, but Cutler's comments about Royal beating Hall "again, again and again" were great.

Eddie Royal is my new favorite player. I dropped Ted Ginn Jr and picked him up at half time. I'm on his bandwagon full steam.

My favorite part of the Broncos-Raiders game was DeAngelo Hall taking the two personal fouls on one drive. How often does that happen to a cornerback? Granted, I found the second penalty to be a questionable call ("punishing the runner"), but the whole thing was hilarious to me.

If you're MeAngleo, about once a season.

(technically one each pass interference, personal foul, and unsportsmanlike conduct but that seems close enough to me)

I think Hall was trying to intimidate him after getting shown up a few times. I don't think it worked.

I wanna preface this by saying i'm not a chiefs fan in any way, shape or form.

Apparently The Sports guy "the alledged national sportswriter for espn", thinks Bernard Pollard's hit on Tom Brady is dirty.

I'll say it again.. F'n Morris was draped all over Pollards back and fell on him again when pollard slipped away driving him into brady's knee. Not to mention the fact that if that really was a dirty hit i'm fairly sure the nfl would have already executed Pollard.

Furthermore, you'd think patriots fans would know what a dirty hit to a qb's knees looks like. Since they have Vince Wilfork on their roster.

To be fair, the Sports Guy said that was a dirty hit as well in his column today...

Why'd you have to drag the dreaded "David Carr manages a come-from-behind win over Joey Harrington" game into this? And I'm not a Falcons fan, it's just that David Carr in a Panthers uniform gives me the willies.

There is Little similarity between wilfork's cheap shot and Pollard's hit besides the fact the knee was hit. Nobody was draped on wilfork's back and he could have easily avoided hitting Losman's knee

Why don't they all ask Rodney Harrison what he thought about it? I mean, if you are going to talk about safties, dirty hits, and knees, and then have an expert on all the above, don't you get his opinion?

And really...did anyone expect the Sports Guy to say anything different? Sure the NFL has said it was clean, but who the hell are the NFL to say without consulting him first.

Wilfork's hit was worse (even if it helped the Bills in the long run by getting Edwards in there). If he was trying to catch himself he'd have put his had out, not lead with his elbow...

I'm not sure how anyone could conclude that the Wilfork and Pollard hits are similar. I mean, if you want to argue that the Wilfork one was clean or not is one thing, but it's not a similar hit at all, and I can't for the life of me figure out how someone could view the video of both events and make that claim.

Gah, we get to debate this AGAIN. Dude was tripped and spun, he's falling on his side. He puts his hand out, he breaks his wrist and probably his elbow...

Anyone have a link to the video of the Brady injury? Surprisingly I have been unable to find a replay of it (brief one during games yesterday in my spotty watching), and the only link I found to one on nfl.com wasn't loading the video.

At least Brady can call Nick "Dr Feelgood" Kazcur if he needs anything to help him with the pain.

The sentiment on Boston.com blames Morris rather than Pollard.

I know people would love to make this into a "Pats fans whining about hit" deal, and of the many Pats fans, some surely feel that way (including Simmons, apparently), but I just don't feel like that angle has enough traction to really paint all fans with it.

Shit happens. I think it's a pretty rare occasion that football players are out there trying to seriously injure each other.

Are they saying he's at fault because he missed the blitz pickup? Or at fault cause when he tried to hold Pollard once he'd taken him down, he couldn't hold him really well?

2 fucking hours on some lameass "spanish american war" blvd. I have half a mind to fax bomb the fucking parking lot management company. I should have seen it coming. There was a rather nice domestic dispute between a couple stuck in the middle of about 10 cars. No chance they got out of the BP lot for hours.

When did you leave? I talked to my aunt Sunday and they said that most people left at the beginning of the 4th Quarter. They stayed for the entire game and didn't have a problem with traffic.

They were driving north to Grove City, BTW, so that may make the difference.

It's called distributing the pressure. The whole arm can take the fall. You ever take any judo classes? Physics, it's what's for dinner...

Thanks for the video link. Yup, combination of Morris trying to sit on him (and failing), and Pollard trying to lunge from the ground at the QB rather than just getting up. Freak accident in a physical sport.

Did you guys hear about Brad Childress not shaking Mike McCarthy's hand after Monday Night's game? McCarthy walked out to midfield and Childress was already gone. Talk about classless. Even Bellichick goes out to shake Mangini's hand when the Patriots beat the Jets every year and Mangini cost Bellichick $500k and a 1st round pick! I thought Childress was better than that, but I guess not.
