I'm not sure Texas Defense is going to see the field again if Texas wins this one.

I don't think there was enough to overturn either call. It looks like a fumble in slow motion, but could go either way at real speed.

Almost 7 minutes remain. Jumping on the "it's over" bandwagon a tad early?

I wouldn't celebrate too early here. Vince Young is a stud and I'm not counting him out until the clock is running out.

Note to UT players. Read the note on your helmets that say "DON'T LEAD WITH YOUR HEAD WHEN TACKLING"

Not over. Young is too dangerous for that. Texas has to score within three minutes though and then their D is going to have to come up big.

Thinking back on it, shouldn't Reggie Bushes first half "lateral" have been an illegal forward pass?

I definitely don't think it is over yet. We didn't use enough clock.

Also, someone beat me to the Jarrett = Sophomore fact. There is a lot of talented youth on this team for next year.

Well the thing is from the initial angle, it didn't look like he had control.

From the replay, it looked like he caught and held it, and didn't lose it 'til #10 ripped it free.

No, it looked to me that he was pitching it backwards.

Go SC!

Lienart: 28/37, 300+ yds. That's pretty good. But I guess most people are rooting for Young and UT. Go figure.

it looked to me that while he was trying to tass it backwards, his momentum ended making the ball travel 2-3 yards forward before hitting the other guy. If anyone has it TIVOd, id appreciate it if they could take a look when the game is over.

Not over as long as Vince Young is there- but there was a lot of "Texas smash mouth" bit floating around.

Sidenote: Why on earth would Vince Young stick around ? Is there anything he has left to prove in college football ?

As an Aggie, I'd have to say this is a good night so far, except for the whole 'state of TX losing to the state of CA' angle, which I don't really get. Saw 'em off, SC!

Yeah - I just found out today that their O-line only has one senior. White should definitely stay, and run for a million yards next year.

White this year is a 1st round pick. If he stays, he's a Top 5 pick, easily (if no injuries).

I think Vince might have a better shot at winning this game with his legs, and thats no knock on his arm either.

As far as Reggie's pitch, I rewinded it twice when it happened, it was close, but I think it was backwards or parallel. However, it was very close.

Young might have said he's staying before -however, after this game, I have a hard time not seeing him at in top 10, or top 5 at least. Who goes before him - Bush, Leinart, Ferguson - maybe Hawk - are there really 10 better players then him eligible for the draft ?

And after tonight, he might've vaulted himself into the 10-15 range (provided the teams are there that need a RB), whereas I believe before he was in the last 10 in the 1st round.
