MSU-Gonzaga
Anyone watching this game on ESPN? Heading into OT, teams have been trading clutch buckets for the last three minutes of regulation.

Ager has four threes in the last 4:30 minutes of the game. But everyone is playing big, with the exception of Shannon Brown and his leg cramps for the 2nd game of the tourney.

Late March type of game so far. Morrison and Ager have been unstoppable.

Yep, 33-33 combined foul shooting from the teams in 2nd half + early OT. Post order a little funky, so including the quote ... |

Dude flew right into him.
There are no moral victories. I don't care how we "fought". This loss sucked balls.

Refs that swallow their whistles at the end of the game are cowards.
Too afraid to face the conequences of your foul call? Become an insurance salesman. Dumbfucks.

I watched the play again, and Brown didn't fall, but he was knocked back. The defender was leaning into him. At any other point in the game, that would be an easy foul call. Coward refs need their asses beat.

Good no call. The defender made a good play and he tried to get bailed out by the ref.

What the fuck are you talking about? We've been burned over and over by this crap. I remember that horrible rip-off of a game back in 1990 where Georgia Tech pulled the biggest rip-off I've ever seen to keep MSU out of the Final Four. I hate you Kenny Anderson.

Nope. Sparks wasn't even remotely hacked. In fact, I remember rolling my eyes at the whiners like you regarding that call. There was nothing definitive about that call, unlike this one where the guy leaned right into Brown making solid contact.

So basically you're saying you're a hypocrite. You tell me to quit whining, while at the same time you're whining about a non-existant foul on Sparky.

Schmidty - You really crack me up sometimes. He didn't even have control of the ball on the way up. And I bet you think that held ball was the correct call too.

How many times have you seen the play? He had obvious control of the ball. I have NO idea what you were watching, but from the many times I've looked at it, control never even came up as an issue. I think you need to re-think your argument. Also, no I don't agree with the held ball; however, that had no affect on the outcome. In fact, it actually took more time off the clock for state, since the Zags had to inbound the ball again. Next.

Miss possible late call that MSU can benefit from = Refs are cowards. Miss possible late call that would hurt MSU = Refs get it right. Why do I even bother trying to argue that logic? |

That's where we disagree. I don't think the Sparks thing was necessarily a foul, while I think the Brown incident was an obvious foul. We aren't coming from the same point of view. Regardless, you just keep hating on State, and we'll just keep going to Final Fours and beating your asses in the Tourney.

I would bet that nine times out of ten, that is not called a foul. I'm not saying there was no contact at all, but I think Brown was trying to create a call.

I'm not hating on State. In fact I like MSU a lot and think Izzo is a great coach. After you beat us I wanted nothing more than to see you guys beat UNC and win the championship. The only thing that got me into this thread was you flipping out over a no-call when I feel you greatly benefitted from a far more questionable one when the stakes were much greater. |

Ok, I can handle that. You are admitting that it could have been a foul. Now, I disagree with you about the percentage, but I appreciate the fact that you can at least see that it could have been. Regardless of everything though, I despise how refs become cowards at the end of the game. The rules are the rules. The fact that the rules change at the end of close games is shady, cowardly and wrong.

Hey man, I don't hate U-K either. I love Tubby and always root for you guys when you aren't playing us. Hell, one of my favorite NBA players is Tayshaun Prince. I understand where you're coming from being frustrated over a call. I admit it: I'm an emotional guy who takes his sports extremely (too?) seriously. But I like that about me, and respect others who are ardent defenders of their teams too.

Prince is incredibly popular here.
He's the reason many in central Kentucky (including myself) have adopted the Pistons as their favorite NBA team. Not that this map is reliable, but I don't think half of Kentucky liking the Pistons is a coincidence http://www.commoncensus.org/sports_map.php?sport=3 |
