Re: Everyone playing in England.

We get a LOT of EPL and FA Cup games on Fox Soccer Channel. it's what people are familiar with and all the 'names' are typically there. ManU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool amongst the big clubs. Rooney, Kezman, Lampard, Arsene Wenger, Downing, Gerrard, etc are all in EPL clubs.

I got this email from the AI 3 seasons ago:

so, i am manager of chelsea and the manager of the very injured brazillian national team in february 2010... I've got ~6 players injured longterm on the national squad.

This is in WWSM2005 (the US version of fm2005) damn you, Marc Vaughan and Frogman.

Hope this helps,

Nice price but I'll probably wait for the US version again.

WWSM got interesting when I got fired from FC Dallas three quarters into my second season with the team. I'm now managing an Italian Serie B team. Fun with my team being on the 'mature' side. Different than MLS which leans to youth.

dola, the one good thing about this is they sent an email to let me know it was late and didn't simply let it go and hope I wouldn't bitch. I can appreciate getting information as to when my order is supposed to ship.

I got the same email and I bitched anyway. I think that is just dirty that they offer a preorder on a product and wait 'till the day of release to say "oops, its on backorder now." There is no way that I believe that they had no idea that they would not have enough stock to fill their preorders until today.------RANT OVER

or they never received their shipment and were hoping it would come in late yesterday or today and they'd have been able to ship it out then. Or maybe not, who knows... I'm incline to give them the benefit of the doubt, for now...

What Frogger said. I'm happy they at least communicate the problem.

I'm disappointed that I won't get it earlier but, eh, it's not that big a deal to me. I'm happy about the deal I got since my attempt to buy FM'05 off someone here somehow didn't work out. But, eh, on the positive side, this gives time for the modders to do their things and the early adopters a chance to figure out what problem(s) may arise.

Hey for all you NA players it's not to late to cancel your order with CD-Wow. I sent in my cancellation request and request for refund and it was done in about 10 minutes. Now use the 10 bucks that you are going to save by buying WWSM and get you wife/girl some flowers.

That's an idea that's not completely stupid. One question for you: had you credit card been already charged? and if so, have you seen the refund on it already?

That's the first thing that bothered me about them, they charged my card the day I sent in my order, instead of waiting on the day of delivery...

FM,

My credit card was already charged, and when I cancelled my order, they send a cancellation and a refund e-mail with a confirmation number.

It usually takes 2 business days for my credit card to show any changes, so I haven't seen the refund yet.

I am not registered with them either. I had the same thing, where they sent me an email saying they cancelled the order and a reciept where they refunded the credit card. I doubt that i will see it on the card for a couple of days though.

I sent two messages. The first was the customer service link in the email that said that the order was delayed and the second was the help link on the actual web site where I was cancelling my order. It was not too hard, and it was a very fast turnaround time.

Okay, I started this whole frenzy and now I'm out of the CD-wow experiment. Good luck to you all guys!

on a funny note, you know what day November 1st is, other than being the day after Halloween? It's my birthday. Guess what I'll be downloading/ordering on November 1st

It's all Frogger's fault!

I'd reckon about 10 days to 2 weeks. I wanted to give them until today before cancelling and it's been sent so no big deal.

When I ordered my '01/'02, it was set to mail right after 09/11 and was stuck in Custom for 2-3 weeks. This . . . this is nothing.

The email I got from them said 5-7 days, but that could be just their "standard" email for everyone, no matter where you are.

In any case, I'm not in a rush to get the game but it's still fun to blame FrogMan.

yeah, yeah, yeah...

Maybe I should change the title to "BLEH! as in CD-BLEH.us, won't ship on time, but still only $39.95!!!"

Bee, I think the 5-7 days is for people in the UK but I could be wrong...

You're probably right, but here's what the email said:

---------
Just to let you know that
Game Product Football Manager 2006 (CD-ROM) has been dispatched.

Please allow 5 to 7 days for the goods to arrive.

If after this time, you are still waiting for your item, please let us know.

This completes your order.
----------

I'll probably give it a couple weeks and if I haven't gotten anything, I'll send them an email. Like I said, I'm not in a rush or anything. I'm really busy with other stuff right now and wouldn't have time to play anyway.

Hi Guys.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but this may be some good (great?) news for you lot
http://community.sigames.com/groupee...1/m/3212033861

For those who can't access it, it basically says:

"Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006 has been confirmed for a ship date (bar any manufacturing problems) of November 1st, 2005.

There will be boxed copies of the game available in North America and Canada from this date. Details of retailers will follow at a later date.

We will also be releasing a digital download version of Worldwide Soccer Manager on the same date. This will be a "try before you buy" version of the game (so a 6 month demo, and if you like it, you can then "unlock" the rest of the game) and will be available for customers throughout the American continents, so, for the first time, the game will be available for those in Central and South American countries.

We are still finalising the details with Sega of America's online distribution partner to see if any of the countries in these continents will not be able to purchase, but at the moment it is looking like we'll be able to sell to customers in all countries in both continents.

This is a big test for the game, and we are hoping to turn a lot more people enjoying our game in these countries into legitimate purchasers to test the market for the future. With your support, we might even manage to get boxed copy releases in these countries too.

Oh, and the price of the download (and the boxed copy in the US & Canada) will be under $30.

Thank you all for your patience whilst waiting for this announcement, but there's been a lot to sort out!"

Cheers
Fran

I would download the game, but I am afraid that my dialup wouldn't be able to handle the potential 300+MB download.

I pre-ordered it from my local Gamestop store today. It was $29.99, and he said that thier store wasn't going to get the game but that they could get the game in from anywhere if I pre ordered it. I am guessing that I should get the game sometime in Novemeber. Hopefully, sometime next week.

Got the game today. So it did make it in the 5-7 day period.

I'm still waiting impatiently for the mail man. How does FM do this to us? We do this every year with each new release!

edit: Got it.

cd-wow for $39.95 because I thought I'd be getting it ahead of the US release then. *sigh* I don't think it's even hit my house yet and it's day 6. On top of that, it's being sent priority from there to here in Laramie, which is another 3 days.
