EHM? Anyone playing it?

Oh how I long for a hockey sim, how good is the latest EHM build? Is it worth it to start a career or is everyone waiting for EHM:FE? I played a much earlier version of EHM awhile back, so maybe it's getting closer to perfection? or not?

It's going to be a while until FE comes out, so play away! Stick with 1.16, though. The later builds are S-L-O-W!

Ya, 1.16 is fantastic! You could play a couple of decades worth before FE comes out, so why wait! EHM is still the text sim I've played more than any other, and it was free! Talk about bang for your buck!

I played with it for a month or so and never really got into. I think it was the speed issue (can't remember if I had 1.16 or 1.17) that turned me off. That said, I really liked some of the features and depth to the game, so I'd recommend giving it a try.

My biggest complaint with EHM was the players just didn't have any personality to me. I never developed an attachment to any of my players. That's one of the areas where CM excels and why I am really looking forward to FE.

Thanks for the respones. Bee, that's not good news, imo as I can't get into a game that doesn't have an immersion factor of some sort.

I know it's free, so I'll check out v1.16, it can't hurt.

That's strange, I found the players to have more personality than, say, OOTP. They do things like complain that they're not given a high-profile role, and there's a (fairly small) media aspect.
