This thread's rating has dropped.

Thanks again to all. I'm with panerd, Mizzou is going places this year!

No Madden 2006... I sent it back. This year's theme was Home Depot gift cards as we are in the process of selling our house and buying a new one.

Looks to me like Kansas was considered a slave state until the South tried to secede.

It should be noted that after a couple of years of outsiders voting and getting kicked out, Kansas became a free state. What's Missouri's excuse?

Fixed that for you.

The United States Senate discovering, almost a hundred years before Chamberlain, that appeasement is generally a bad idea and rarely ever solves the core problem!

Kansas is just a fundamentally screwed up place to be.

Surely even you can recognize the truth of that statement.

Indeed, indeed. I probably would not want to raise kids in most of the state, but it's not like KU goes around with textbooks with "Evolution is just a theory" stickers on it. It's just like most other midwest college towns I've been to: (Madison, Iowa City, and yes, Columbia) crazy little blue dots in seas of red but the sea is just redder and deeper here so the contrast is starker. Also makes the loons here that much more nutty.

Spending time with the kids and wife.

We close on our house and our new house on the 30th and my DSL is going away, but I always have work.

It was a great birthday. Got Space Rangers 2, a bunch of Mizzou stuff, and a cherry chip cake.
