BARRY!BARRY!BARRY!

I can't believe I'm getting excited over batting practice. I'm getting to tickets to Giants/Cubs on Friday night, with Cain on the hill and hopefully Bonds in the lineup. I can't imagine how loud the place will get when he gets out of the dugout for the first time. Anyone else gonna go this week?

I thought this was a thread about Barry Sanders.

I hope you are right. I traded for him in a keeper league and need at least one at-bat to get him at a super low salary next season.

There's something this board has called a "thread preview". All you have to do is take your little hand and use it to move your mouse over the thread title. A little box will pop up and you can actually see the beginning of the post!

Now get the fuck out

Strangely, my last memory of New Orleans is of Barry Sanders. We spent Thanksgiving in 97 or 98 there with my parents, and about all I can remember about it was Barry's game against Chicago, I think it was.

Of course the Giants fans will be thrilled if barry makes a real plate appearence, its not like they have anyone else worth talking about on the entire squad.

That team is awful.

Barry Sanders coming back would have blown this news out of the water anyway. Bonds Blows.

I thought this was a thread about small screen heartthrob Barry Watson.

What are the odds of Sanders being a first-ballot hall-of-famer, and then coming out of retirement to be the only active player ever in the hall of fame?

I'd pay real money to see that.

I was at the game tonight. Watched him take BP without even realizing it.

Lowlight of the night: Valentin and Edwards making errors that led directly to two Giant runs.

Highlight of the night: somebody threw a giant inflatable aspirin bottle over the left field wall with a label reading "Balco." Too bad it was wasted on a Bonds-less lineup.

I would think the lowlight would be the losing, but to each his own...

You know, the team might be bad...but we have (arguably) the hottest pitcher in the league right now (Noah Lowry), one of the top 25 prospects in all of baseball (Matt Cain) and an outside shot at the playoffs. We actually have plenty to be excited about here in San Francisco right about now, especially because of how crappy the NL West is.

I'm not saying we're any good -- but there are things to like about the team.

It's hard to get upset about the loss when you lose because of physical and mental mistakes.

Get upset about the broken fundamentals. Then, when those are working, you can get upset about just plain ol' losing.

Well, the odds of the first part of that hypo are around, well, 100% given that he was a first-ballot-hall-of-famer. As for the second part, not so good.
