Insomnia Sucks
It's 3:30am. I'm exhausted and wide awake. Everyone else in the house is sound asleep. This really sucks.
Just wanted to vent. |

Try reading a book at this time. That will usually knock me out if I have trouble sleeping. Sitting in front of the computer can actually keep me up longer than I should.

Tried that. Even tried watching the Golf Channel - that always knocks me out. Nothing is working .

Damn....you even used the last resort and watched the Golf Channel. If that didn't knock you out, then you are truly suffering from insomnia. Maybe you should wake up Arlie and ask him if he is interested in doing business. Just give him a verbal contract offer and see if he accepts it. I heard doing business can help things as well. Good business leads to good sleep. Well at least for the guys. I am sure it can work for you too. Now if he doesn't accept your offer, don't reduce to verbal threats. Make some type of trading agreement. Sometimes that can help too. Wait a minute.....aren't you like really late in your pregnancy or did I miss out on that whole birth thing. Because if you are, then it is normal that you would be uncomfortable right now. And I am sure everyone in the house is going to feel your misery as well. |

Tried waking Arlie up to do business, but he was not interested at the time. I think he had other offers, more attractive offers from the Sandman. I was very persuasive, but the Sandman must have brought Nikki Cox twins or something.
You didn't miss anything, still pregnant - 36 weeks. I'm really not uncomfortable, other than the heat. That stretch in July of 115 degrees every day really got to me. But I've been sleeping fine. I don't think I've been taking anything out on my family and friends. Been a tad bitchy, but when am I not? Last edited by Farrah Whitworth-Rahn : 08-06-2005 at 06:21 AM. |

Classic. Sometimes there is nothing you can do to close the deal when the Sandman is involved. It's funny how Sandman seems to deal out a lot more better offers when you're married. 36 weeks? Damn...you are already on the final stretch. No wonder. And yes the heat here has been terrible. The electric bills have been ridiculous but there have been a few nice thunderstorms here and some showers. It isn't all that bad (ahem...when you are not pregnant). Well good luck with the delivery. And sorry about the Sandman, but I believe Arlie is resting because he wants to be prepared when that child is due, because there will not be much sleep afterwards. |

That was unintentional, but now I will pretend it was intentional to act as if I always come up with these with statements. That's always good for board morale. |

Try this. 30 minutes or so spent listening to a book with the lights out always makes me sleepy. It's surprisingly effective; the only thing I can figure is that it's like when I was a little guy and Mom would read a story before bed. |

My son was born at 36 weeks. You could always start labor if you are that bored.

I'm not ready yet!! Plus the nursery furniture hasn't arrived. Poor little guy would be sleeping in my nightstand drawer or a laundry basket..maybe with the dogs on the dog beds. Last edited by Farrah Whitworth-Rahn : 08-06-2005 at 04:44 PM. |

We're having a little boy. I'm kind of impatient (understatement of the year!). I don't think I would have been able to wait nine months to find out what it was. |

Just curious Farrah,
Is it just Arlie and you in the house right now? |
