That's awful. But the fact that he's able to talk to the police makes it sound like he's not in too bad of shape...

Yeah, that is a promising sign, but getting shot in the stomach is nasty business.

At least he is doing alright...the Eagles have high hopes for him this season, but all of that aside, this is something you do not want to hear anyone going through.

This is one of those deals where you don't ask the "will he play this year?" questions, it just doesn't seem to matter.... It's more about "will he be alright? Will he live? Will he walk?"...

I hate to bring it up, but what the hell was he doing putting himself in a situation where he felt he needed to be carrying in the first place?

I fail to see the relevance. Does it matter?

Sometimes folks who drive around at all times of the night in nice cars wearing lots of jewelery get robbed. It isn't like he was hanging out with a bunch of his old gangsta friends when they decided to kill somebody, he was getting into his car.

Reckless behavior is reckless behavior. Winslow tears up his knee popping wheelies on a bike and is criticized. McDougle hangs out somewhere where he feels is dangerous enough that he needs to carry a gun, then is shot while there.

I'm sorry but you are wrong to assume that. There are many places in America that I can think of that are dangerous to be and you have to protect yourself. Crime happens all over in Philly and many big cities. I've often thought about carrying protection in New Orleans.

There is a huge difference between being in a dangerous city and acting in a reckless manner by pulling off tricks on a bike when you just aren't that good of a rider.
