coolroy

Thumbs up Hey everybody - it's coolroy!

hey everybody. it's coolroy. longtime lurker at FOFC, longtime player of FOF. never have posted on a forum before, so when i finally decided to join one a little research brought me here.

i've been reading up on your history a little to get myself aquainted w/ your board. congrats to JeeberD for his back-to-back post count championships. i like how he has a ton of dola posts too.

anyway, get used to my name. i plan on posting (as much as possible), writing articles (as much as possible) and making graphics (as much as possible). hopefully some of you will take me in as your own.

coolroy was an alias i used over at IHOF for a short bit. that post all the way up top is near verbatim of the one i used to introduce myself over there as coolroy.

i don't know who this coolroy is, but safe to say it's sov-related, as he couldn't contain himself when he figured out that i was coolroy and kept dropping hints.

just a matter of time. sov can't post at my board anymore, so he can't verbally retaliate, so he'll be forced to come here and do it. the more he runs his mouth here the bigger and bigger the target on his back will grow and that's when the mods take over.

Good point. Fixed.

Peregrine: I do have to sleep sometime. I've been extremely tired since my near-cross-country drive this week, and my sleep schedule is pretty strange right now.

Well I'm not one of the demanding ones, I actually did consider that a good response time, I wasn't being sarcastic. It's night time, after all.

No prob. I've just noticed a trend that after an "obvious suspension" post, people have started posting "over/unders" that are usually listed in the 30-45 minute range.

You set high standards and now people expect you to live up to them. It happens to all the great ones.

SD and i have an understanding now, we spoke via IM yesterday and he was very willing to try to help me out (as much as he could) when i couldn't get onto my website. i respect that. we're not best friends or anything, but we're clear on where we stand, so with that in mind i should be able to continue doing what i do here at FOFC knowing where the line is. the fun part is trying to get as close to the line as possible without going over it.

note: ok, i want to move on. i don't want to give sov anymore satisfaction and attention. i was just extremely angered because i didn't know why he'd do what he did when anything he did could be easily restored. he made no lasting, permanent probs. all he did was set into motion his own demise here at FOFC and shit on his own name.

Actually, you've hit on what still has me pretty much baffled about this entire string of events. Sovereignstar and stevew have a disagreement that escalates. Sov is really pissed. He's SO pissed at stevew, as a matter of fact, that he decides...

...to hack HA's web site???

I mean, is there some connection between HA and stevew that would cause sov to think they're such close-knit duke buddies that the best way to get at stevew would be to hack HA's site??? Very strange.

stevew and i are in an OOTP league together - RWBL - and while we are very friendly to each other in the league and via IM, that's as far as our connection goes. i wouldn't call us "best internet buds 4 ever". very strange. if i attacked someone first i can see where i'd have it coming to me but i spent about a good 30 minutes trying to figure out what the message he put up to replace my forum even meant. i haven't even interacted w/ sov since like early March when our FOF MP league folded. completely out of left field.

Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where’s the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?

Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream of what I need

I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the morning light
He’s gotta be sure
And it’s gotta be soon
And he’s gotta be larger than life

Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There’s someone reaching back for me

Racing on the thunder and rising with the heat
It’s gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet

I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the morning light
He’s gotta be sure
And it’s gotta be soon
And he’s gotta be larger than life

Up Where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there’s someone somewhere
Watching me
Through the wind and the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like a fire in my blood

I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the morning light
He’s gotta be sure
And it’s gotta be soon
And he’s gotta be larger than life
...

uhhhhh...that's like *only* one of the more classic lines from Anchorman, not out of the realm of possibility that two different people would quote that, but yeah, i knew i done f-ed up when that happened.

but if two separate people were to post "we're going streaking!!!!!1" in two separate threads i wouldn't think anything was up. lol

Well, yeah, that same quote has shown up in other threads here. But the fact that it showed up on both boards at nearly the same time pretty much sealed the deal for me. Especially since it was already rumored that you were coolroy...
