Survivor FOFC: The Merge and the next challenge

Gentlemen, you have been two tribes doing battle against each other, but now you are one tribe, and it is now every man for himself.

For your next challenge, I am giving you each $200,000. invest it wisely. Click here and sign up for Lycos Finance Investment Challenge.

Spend a week investing your money and post a screenshot of your portfolio value by Saturday night at 11:59 PM. Who ever has the most money wins immunity. If you also happen to win the $750.00, $500.00, or $250.00, I get a cut

By the way, the new tribe needs a new name, all I could think of was the Dola Houstons, but I don't think that is all that good. Anyone else have any good ideas?

created, I'm radii2, this is a good competition

Hopefully they are quick on the trigger when you buy/sell. The only way to win this stuff is by daytrading, a bunch of my friends had a competition on virtualstockexchange.com but it ended up being totally worthless because there was a 20 minute delay on trades, which is a killer when you're trying for short term gains like this.

As best I can tell there is a 30 minute delay, sorry, that will hurt all you day traders

I assume the rest of you have signed up and have begun investing your money as well. It would be nice to know what your screen name is for this game.

Marmel, SP, and Radii, are you sure that you posted your correct Lycos ID? For kicks I have been checking to see how everyone is doing and your ID's say that there is no user by those names.

Also I decided to try my hand at this as well. I am up 17 grand and in 17th place.

radii2 is correct but I have been amazingly busy at work and haven't had time to scour the business pages, so I haven't made any trades yet :/ so that is probably why you can't find me.

Were you clicking on the "your portfolio" button or just looking at that value posted on your main page? THe main page is only updated once a day.

Man I am up to $25,000. Does anyone have some real money that they would like me to invest for them?

Gee, just $25,000. Not so good since we started with $200,000.

By the way, today is the last day of the game. Once the trading day has ended take a screenshot of your portfolio and post it.
You have until the end of Saturday (eastern) to post your results, but there is no advantage to waiting that long. I suggest that you all try to get them posted friday night.

I think there is something wrong with my account.

I have $0 in cash, but when I look at my portfolio I do not see any of the stocks that I bought. Any advice from you veteran day traders?

i just seem to have your number splits.

Actually, I posted in the other thread that I would gladly forfeit our chess match. I really don't know how to play other than the way to move each piece. I don't understand the strategy, or even the conditions for winning.

If you want to play, I will, but it is pointless really.

Great. I will beat Marmel in something only because he doesn't know how to play the game. Wonderful.

But I'm not proud. I'll take it!

Looks like no one was able to top Marmel, so Marmel has won the immunity necklace. Now it is off to tribal council. On of you is about to leave the game.
