Saw this last night. I was pleasantly surprised. Now, it is a lot like the Last House on the Left, but still, the movie was damn good in my opinion.

Lots of great dialogue. The music they used is really good, and it did a good job switching between moods. The gore was well done because it looked real.

Like I said, if you've seen Last House, you'll notice a lot of similiarities, but it's still a damn good movie. Heads and shoulders above House of 1000 Corpses.

Oh and the cameos are great.

Such as Diamond Dallas Page, Danny Trejos and that big comedian who's name slips my mind. Really talk, blonde hair with glasses. He was Kevin on Just Shoot Me.

Also, I was shocked to see the theater was sold out.

If you are a horror film fan you will like it. It kinda reminded me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but I believe that is what Rob Zombie was going after, was a 70's type slasher flick.

Yup. In fact both take place in the 70s I believe.

I actually like House of 1000 Corpses. Very cheesy, but I like that sort of freak out-creepy stuff. I'll have to wait for Devil's Rejects on DVD, though, or go see it by myself.

It's refreshing to see other people that actually liked House of 1,000 Corpses. Cheesy, yes. Exactly what I expected, yes. Good movie if you're a fan of 70's and 80's horror flicks. Look forward to the sequel - didn't realize it was a sequel until this thread.

If you mean would it be a good movie to see if you're tripping on some sort of psychotropic or pyschadelic drug, well yes.

I didn't really like Devil's Rejects very much. It had some funny parts, I guess. The theatre was packed here, too, and I was really surprised. We got there about 10 or 15 minutes early and it was already tough to find two open seats side by side.

Mrs Gottimd and I are going to see Devils Rejects tonight. I saw House of 1,000 Corpses, and I really liked it as well. She however only caught the last half of House of 1,000 Corpses, and we have been trying to rent it everywhere, but no one seems to have it in stock.

When did Last House on the Left come out? I am gonna have to check that one out, along with Beverly Hills Copulator.

I didn't really like House of 1000 Corpses. The first half was good, then it seemed to lose direction and fall apart. Maybe I was expecting something different and that was the problem. I only watched it the one time when it came out in the theaters so maybe I should rent it again now that I basically know what it is.

(And just for the record, I did like Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

I do, however, want to see The Devils Rejects. It looks like a better movie and everyone seems to be loving it so far.

That is one fucked up movie. Worth watching if you're into the Rob Zombie movies though.

It's not so much a movie as it is a 40 minute rape scene.

To be fair, Holik wasn't a reject. He just cost too much for the team to keep. A major difference.
