Question A Quick 1980s Song Lyrics Quiz

Okay, these are all lines from 1980s songs, some rather obscure. Well, some might even be late 1970s or early 1990s. But let’s see how long it takes the group to get them all. Name the artist/band.

1. And if this world runs out of lovers… (Starship)
2. And I can act like an imbecile. (Men Without Hats)
3. It feels so right, so warm and true (Foreigner)
4. Wearing white as you're walkin' down the street of my soul (Laura Brannigan)
5. There's a joke here somewhere and it's on me (Bruce)
6. So what is wrong with another sin? (Scorpions)
7. What to leave in, what to leave out (Bob Seger)
8. Will you recognize me? Call my name or walk on by (Simple Minds)
9. Red light, yellow light, green-a-light go! (Def Leppard)
10. Bangin' on the bongoes like a chimpanzee (Dire Straits)
11. And I know you were never right - I'll admit I was never wrong (Mike + The Mechanics)
12. High shoes with the cleats a-clickin' (The Cars)
13. Streetlight people (Journey)
14. That’s when they’ll disappear. That’s when we’ll be feared (Go Gos)
15. Steve walks warily down the street with the brim pulled way down low (Queen)

Yep. Looked at that one first for some reason. Posted. Looked at the other 14.

I'm confident this will be my final contribution to the thread.

Ditto. For me, it may be the definitive 80's song in part because it is connected to that movie.

The gauntlet has been thrown down, Text Sim Boy. I must consult my CD collection and concoct a more difficult array of lyrics.

Maybe you should do song lyric puzzles instead of geography/cartography.

Or maybe I should learn to read a map.

One guy said a coordinate was in the English Channel and everyone gave up on that angle. Weird.

I think everyone would get sick of song lyrics from a specific five-year period pretty quickly.

Of my CD collection, which encompasses my more recent tastes, everything's either new age or classical.

I'm awesome at guessing the lyrics for classical music.

That's Mozart. See. I'm good.

And that was Stravinsky. Pretty awesome, huh.

I know a guy that was in the band Chameleon with Yanni, back in the 70s. The guy is legit and a member of the Minneapolis music scene.

He claims to have video of Yanni snortin coke off a chick's ass backstage at a show. Haven't ever asked to see it, but I bet he can make some real good money from it. Maybe Linda Evans would like to see it.
