WARNING: Stay off ESPN.com unless you want to know who wins 05 WSOP!

Friggin headline on the main page tells who won the tourney.

I really wasn't expecting to make it very long without finding out who won, but thought if one site was safe, it would be the network who would be looking for ratings of the telecast.

By the way, congratulations to....

Man ESPN is weak. I guess it doesn't matter finding out who it is then.

I couldn't care less who wins the WSOP--does that mean I can't visit ESPN.com?

Seriously, does anyone else consider it VERY HARD to NOT know what is going on in the WSOP without NOT clicking on threads and running down to the bottom, much like this one?

Precisely why it doesn't belong on ESPN or Fox Sports.

Tape delay of 24 hours is one thing, and potentially makes sense in situations where the competition cannot be shown at a reasonable hour to all potentially interested parties (such as the Olympics).

If, on the other hand, you have to air your "event" something like a month after the fact, then your "event" doesn't qualify as a sport. Sorry.

That's an odd way to determine what is a sport and what is not. I don't think of poker as a sport or anything, but that comment just seemed strange to me.

It doesn't catch everything, but it serves as a decisive eliminator for me. Of course, I've seen stuff air live that I wouldn't consider sports, either.

Nope. It'll be impossible to avoid it until they actually broadcast it.
