Cap Out Offer?

Can someone explain what this is? I can't find anything on it in the in-game instructions, and I'm told that the players accept the offer EVERY time.

It's available only for players on your team who have two or more years remaining on their contract. It simply reduces a player's salary for the current season to the league minimum, giving him the rest of that salary in the form of a bonus. Since bonuses are counted against the cap over the life of a contract, this saves you cap room during the current season. Players like it because they get most of this year's salary immediately, without risk.
