The Shield: Season 1

You know how sometimes there's a show that you really enjoy watching, but for whatever reason, you can never get yourself to watch it every week?

That's how I am with The Shield (and some other good shows like Scrubs). I've caught a few glimpses here and there (including all of last night's episode) and loved what I saw, but I almost always end up missing it on a weekly basis.

So I realized that the first season is now available on DVD. Priced at around $40 at some places, I feel like its a good deal for 13 episodes.

Anybody here have it and recommend it (or have it and want to sell it cheap )?

I have it and I love it.

I got it on Saturday, and am up to episode #7 right now.

I missed the fiew few episodes last year, so this has been a big help. They have cast commentaries for every episode, which I haven't checked out yet, but I do plan on doing so.

I've got the DVD's of Season 1, watched every episode of season 2 (last episode of this season is next week).

In my humble opinion this is the best show on television. I'm already sad that season 2 will end next week.

You know what would be a great show? The human shield. Watch a stoned ignorant idealist as he becomes an unwitting pawn in Saddam Hussein's propaganda machine. Now THAT I would watch.

As soon as I saw what a movie looks like on a DVD, I got rid of my VCR. The quality is such crap, I honestly can't concentrate on watching.
