TPB 2005 On Local Sports Radio

Was flicking the dial this morning on the way into work and tuned into Sports Radio 1130, The Fan, here in Detroit . And all of a sudden I hear "Win a Copy of Total Pro Basketball 2005 by Grey Dog Software". Pretty Cool .

Good exposure for this little known genre of games. Would love to get more people turned onto games like TPB, FOF , EHM, ETC...

Anyway, thought it was cool and I am sure Gary would be happy to hear about this if we wasn't aware of it to begin with.

Very cool idea, I wish they can get that kind of publicity on the radio here. I'd love to hear it.

Hopefully people are intrigued by the games enough to purchse it and lead them to the real sports sims.

I'm guessing 'the fan' might indicate that both stations are in some way affiliated, but don't really know.

There is also:

In addition, you might PM JonInMiddleGeorgia, as he is in the radio advertising business and I'm sure has contacts. However, he'll probably charge you!

Heh, a man's gotta make a living

Actually, I was about to post both 680 & 790 myself, but had hesitated earlier simply because I kinda feel like they're more ... mercenary ... than other stations I've dealt with. But maybe that's because they figure I might have money they can squeeze.

1130 ... I am a fan of the other guys (1270).

C'mon Gary, help an Oakland Countier out.

Though who am I fooling?

Drew & Mike is the best thing on Detroit radio.

I'll interject when I say I only listen to 1270 for Tigers games and some ESPN radio.

Still, the only thing I consistently listen to is Drew & Mike.

I thought the same thing. I don't think Chemical Solider really re-read what he posted there.

ha

If it was meant as a dis it was a pretty good one. I agree, though, I don't think it was intentional.

Im not really sure what to make of Chemical Soldier's post - I'm guessing he means he hopes it exposes people to games like TPB, FOF, TPF, OOTP, PureSim etc as opposed to considering NBA Live a basketball sim - at least I hope that's what he meant and that it wasn't a shot at TPB.

Thanks everyone for the affiliate links - depending on how much interest WDFN generates will probably determine what we try with other affiliates and with current and future games. As for 1270 in Detroit - well, what can I say - Im an 1130 guy so I went with the top station first (not to mention that they are the home of the Pistons so I figured there would be more interest there)
