PING: Warriors Fans

Are there any Golden State Warriors fans on the board? What do you guys think of the team's resurgence since the addition of Baron Davis? Do you think they can sustain this through next year and make a run at the playoffs? The Warriors have such a quality fan base...we deserve a winning team more than once every dozen years, and it's exciting that there is a possibility to getting one finally. I'm liking the young guys a lot. Biedrins is only 19, but he's definitely warranting PT. Zarko is a nice scoring option off the bench, and Pietrus could eventually be a star. I think Montgomery will turn out to be the right coach for this team.....Thoughts?

I know the message was just posted, but I got a kick out of seeing a topic "ping:Warriors fans" that had no replies.

Basketball is the only sport where I have not been able to root for the local team. Ever since I was little the Warriors have sucked and never have caught my attention. I follow them and ever since the trade, this team has been exciting to watch. J-Rich is having a very solid year, especially late in games. Pieatrus is a good "slasher" and the addition of Baron Davis has brought his game up another level.

Zarko and Biedrins seem like viable options off the bench. They still need a big man who can score some points.

Enjoy Baron until he decides he doesn't want to be on your team anymore.

Man, I've even stuck with the Warriors after moving from the Bay Area...it's been tough considering hardly any national games, the fact that I really don't care about the NBA, and the fact that they suck. But, I vaguely remember being good and going to a few games with Mullin, Hardaway, and their surrounding cast. I can't believe the last playoff year was in the Chris Webber-era. Also, turns out Stackhouse over Smith would have been the right pick in that draft we had the #1 pick.
