Bush Leagues

Also, anybody giving this one a try? Its free on MLB.com, you take a group of no names and turn them into a cohesive baseball team. Better the team, the farther up you advance into better leagues. Kind of like soccer.

At a quick glance, looks like they are borrowing heavily from the SmallBall concept.

Looks like it might be a fun time-waster, but I'm not interested enought to pay money for it, and I don't want to waste my free time playing for free when others are paying and fielding much better teams as a result.

And I thought this was going to be a political thread...

Nah! Trying to give the politics a rest. This is usually my favorite time of year, but the endless winter gets me down. Wife and kids went to see Robots. Shoveled out my driveway for the umpteenth time this year, drank my coffee and turned on the Cubs v. Angels game. Tigers have got to have the worst PR in baseball. They wait until the final week of preseason to televise any games. Don't talk about them on the radio sports shows. Even the White Sox gets tons of coverage during the off-season when I'm up around Chicago way.

Looking for a decent sim to get into. Think the Devo principle is at work here. Games get prettier but less involving to play. Best on-line league I was ever in was a BBPro 98 league a few years ago. Never found one close since. Too many drop-outs when the going gets tough.
